What eye drops to use for yellow spots

Macular degeneration is also known as neutrophil retinitis. It is a disease that occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, but it also occurs in a small number of adolescents. Most of the time, the disease occurs in one eye or multiple eyes. Currently, this type of macular disease does not have a very obvious treatment effect. It requires a virus test first, and then long-term treatment before recovery.

Introduction: Also known as Rieger's central retinitis and juvenile hemorrhagic maculopathy. This disease is an isolated exudative chorioretinal lesion occurring in and around the macula, accompanied by subretinal neovascularization and hemorrhage. It is not uncommon clinically, usually occurring in one eye, and most patients are under 50 years old.

What causes retinal disease (macular degeneration)?

The cause is unknown. It is currently believed that it is caused by the growth of new blood vessels under the retina in the macula, which originates from the choroid. The pathological changes are granulomatous inflammation.

What are the symptoms of retinal disease (macular degeneration)

Central vision is impaired, with a central dark spot and distorted vision. There were no inflammatory changes in the vitreous. There are yellow-gray exudative lesions and hemorrhages in the macula of the fundus, which are round or oval, with unclear boundaries, slightly raised, and about 1/4 to 3/2 the diameter of the optic disc (PD). The most common cases are below 1PD. There are arc-shaped or ring-shaped bleeding at the edge of the lesion, and occasionally there are radially arranged punctate bleeding. There is a zone of pigment disorder around the lesion. Most of the lesions were centered on the fovea, within a radius of 1 PD. At the end of the disease, a yellow-white scar forms in the macular area.

What tests are needed for retinal disease (macular degeneration)

Fluorescent fundus angiography examination shows that in the early arterial stage or arterial phase, there is a new vascular network with various forms such as granular and lace-like at the exudative focus. The bleeding area obscures the fluorescence, and there is a translucent fluorescent area on the upper edge of the bleeding. In the later stage, the new blood vessels leak fluorescein to form a strong fluorescent area.

What causes macular degeneration in the eye?

Macular degeneration is a common disease affecting the macula in the elderly. The exact cause is still unknown, and it may be related to genetics, vascular sclerosis, oxidative damage, chronic light damage, inflammation, metabolic nutrition, etc. According to reports, the factors that cause macular degeneration include the following:

1. Age: The older you are, the greater the risk of developing macular degeneration;

2. Gender: Women are slightly more likely to have wet macular degeneration than men;

3. Family history: Some families are susceptible to the disease, although the specific gene for the disease has not yet been found;
