How to hold urine quickly for color Doppler ultrasound

Color ultrasound is a way to examine the human body. The principle of color ultrasound is the same as that of B-ultrasound. Before doing the color ultrasound, you need to hold some urine to fill the bladder. Because when examining the uterus, prostate, lower part of the ureter, etc. in the abdomen, the bladder needs to be filled to make the examination results accurate. However, it takes some skills to hold urine quickly and fill the bladder. Here we will introduce how to hold urine quickly for color ultrasound.

Drinking water before color ultrasound to fill your bladder will help the examination. In particular, examination of the uterine appendages and urinary system is very necessary. Since it is helpful for the examination, you must cooperate with the doctor to make personal preparations before the examination. In fact, drinking tea and sugar water have diuretic effects and can increase your urine volume in a very short time. On the contrary, eating too much salt will cause water and sodium to be retained in the body, and the increase in urination in a short period of time will not be obvious. It is recommended that you drink about 800-1000ml of sugar water or tea in several times 2 hours before the color ultrasound, which is very effective.

We all know that we need to hold our urine when doing an ultrasound. And color ultrasound uses the same principle as B-ultrasound, so of course we have to hold our urine as well. Some people find it painful to hold urine, so they use a vaginal ultrasound, but this is only suitable for married women. You need to hold your urine when doing color ultrasound, because color ultrasound mainly judges relevant conditions based on images. You only need to hold your urine to prevent the small intestine from sagging into the pelvic cavity and affecting the judgment. However, holding urine also depends on the situation to be examined. For example, pregnant women do not need to hold urine after 8 weeks of pregnancy. When doing color ultrasound, you need to hold your urine. It does not mean that the fuller the urine, the better. You should not hold your urine for too long to avoid causing harm to your body. So there are certain things to pay attention to when holding your urine. Generally, you should start drinking water one hour before the examination, and then hold your urine until you feel the urge to urinate. If you hold your urine for too long, it will cause difficulties in diagnosis.

Method 1: Make preparations. If you know you are going to have a color ultrasound, you should drink 300 ml of water before going to the hospital, and then drink it slowly after arriving at the hospital according to the situation. Method 2: Drinking water in small sips will produce urine faster. Some people, when they hear that they are going to do a color ultrasound, drink water in large gulps. In fact, this will slow down the production of urine. Because the swallowing action is fast, the water you drink reaches the colon quickly and is absorbed by the stool there (the stool absorbs water and becomes soft). Therefore, part of the water you drink is excreted with the stool. When you drink water in small sips, the water flows slowly and is easily absorbed by the small intestine into the blood, and finally forms urine and is stored in the bladder. In this way, urine is produced faster. Drinking small sips of water while walking can speed up urine production. Method three: Drinking sugar water will increase the osmotic pressure of the blood, increase the permeability of the blood vessel walls, and cause the kidneys to produce more urine, so hyperosmotic sugar has a diuretic effect. Therefore, before the B-ultrasound, you can drink some honey water, sugar water and other beverages, or you can drink watermelon juice, apple juice, etc. to promote urine production.

Compared with color ultrasound and B-ultrasound, color ultrasound has relatively more functions, can provide a more accurate diagnosis of some diseases, and has clearer further diagnosis of related diseases. However, if it is a normal gynecological examination, it is generally recommended to use black and white B-ultrasound examination. However, their principles are the same, and you should not hold back urine excessively. If your belly is very hard when you lie down for the examination, and you urinate as soon as you press it, then your belly is too full.
