Reasons for dry mouth when sleeping at night

Women may experience dry mouth and tongue when they sleep at night. There are many reasons for this phenomenon. For example, if a woman has liver and kidney yin deficiency, it will often lead to insufficient body fluid. The symptoms are related to diet. Of course, it may also be caused by oral diseases. Some other respiratory diseases, immune diseases, and central nervous system diseases may also cause this phenomenon.

Reasons for dry mouth when sleeping at night

1. Liver and kidney yin deficiency

Dry mouth is mostly caused by liver and kidney yin deficiency and lack of body fluid, or by excessive heat that damages body fluid and burns it. Eat less spicy, greasy and irritating foods, eat more vegetables and fruits, and adjust your lifestyle.

2. Oral diseases

Many people experience dry mouth at night, most of which is caused by oral diseases. If the disease that causes dry mouth and bitter taste is not treated, dry mouth and bitter taste will occur.

3. Central nervous system diseases

If there is a problem with the central nervous system, you will always feel thirsty. In fact, you are not dehydrated and you don’t have dry mouth, but the central nervous system reacts by saying you are thirsty and want to drink water.

4. Immune diseases

An immune disease called Sjögren's syndrome. The lesions mainly invade exocrine glands such as the lacrimal glands and large and small salivary glands, causing gland destruction and reduced or absent secretion. The main clinical symptoms are dry eyes and mouth.

5. Respiratory diseases

Lower respiratory tract involvement may cause chronic bronchitis and recurrent interstitial pneumonia. 6. Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus
