Dry mouth and peeling lips are quite common in life, especially in the dry season. If the cold wind is obvious and you go out frequently, your dry lips will become flaky. If you do not pay attention to timely hydration, insufficient body fluids will often cause symptoms of dry mouth. In addition, spleen deficiency, physical weakness, poor diet, eating too greasy food, etc. may all cause this phenomenon.

Causes of dry mouth and chapped lips

1. Weather factors:

The common reason for chapped lips is weather factors. Winter is characterized by cold and dryness. The dry cold wind will form cracks on the surface of our skin. Lips are no exception.

2. Spleen deficiency and body weakness:

Sometimes lips may peel in the summer due to personal physical condition. If you are physically weak, your hair will turn yellow and your lips will also peel.

3. Unhealthy diet:

Frequent overeating and always eating heavy flavors without any light dishes will cause discomfort to our bodies. Peeling lips is a good sign.

4. Lack of water:

Some people are in the habit of not drinking water for a long time. They only drink a sip of water when they feel extremely thirsty. They drink alcohol and beverages when they have nothing to do. Due to bad habits, the body is extremely dehydrated, and symptoms of dryness and itching begin to appear on the surface of the skin, which also causes the mouth to become dry and flaky.

Let your lips drink enough water

1. After washing your face, apply a thick layer of lip cream to protect your lips, but be sure to read the ingredients of the lip oil carefully. It must not contain phenol or carbolic acid, otherwise it will be counterproductive. 2. Use a wet towel or a very soft toothbrush to slowly remove dead skin, and apply a deeply moisturizing Vaseline or olive oil to improve dryness and peeling of the lip skin. 3. Use moisturizing lipstick made from antioxidant ingredients such as vitamin E and natural ingredients with moisturizing and anti-inflammatory functions such as aloe vera and mint to better retain moisture on the lips and moisturize the lip skin.
