The three typical symptoms of asthma are

Asthma is a relatively common respiratory disease, especially chronic asthma, which is quite harmful to patients. When the weather is cold in winter, it is often easy to cause asthma attacks. There are some typical symptoms, the most typical of which is coughing. There will be wheezing when walking, and sometimes difficulty breathing will cause chest tightness. At this time, it is necessary to treat it in time and strengthen the rationale.

The three typical symptoms of asthma are

1. Cough

This is normal for normal people, but for asthma patients, coughing may be a precursor to an attack. Before an asthma attack, there is usually an irritating dry cough, which is relieved during an attack. Frequent wheezing is the main symptom of this disease. When the attack tends to be alleviated, there is more sputum. If there is no concurrent infection, it is often colorless or white translucent sticky sputum with a tough texture, occasionally in the shape of rice grains or mucus columns.

2. Panting

This is a common symptom of asthma attack. When asthma occurs, patients will find paroxysmal wheezing, accompanied by wheezing and shortness of breath. This symptom usually occurs at night or in the early morning, and can last for a few minutes or even hours or days.

3. Chest tightness

When an asthma patient experiences chest tightness, it means that asthma may occur. Because when asthma attacks, patients will feel that the air they inhale is not enough, and in severe cases they will feel suffocated.

Basic clinical strategies for asthma prevention and treatment

(1) Long-term anti-inflammatory treatment is the basic treatment, and inhaled hormones are the first choice. (2) The preferred drug for emergency symptom relief is inhaled β2 agonists. (3) For patients whose condition is not well controlled after regular inhaled hormone therapy, it is advisable to add inhaled long-acting β2 agonists, or sustained-release theanolide, or leukotriene modifiers (combination therapy); increasing the dose of inhaled hormones may also be considered. (4) For patients with severe asthma who continue to suffer from long-term recurrent attacks despite the above treatments, intensive treatment may be considered. That is, treat it as a severe asthma attack (give high-dose hormones and other treatments), and gradually reduce the hormone dosage 2 to 4 days after the symptoms are completely controlled, lung function returns to optimal levels, and PEF fluctuations return to normal. Some patients' conditions are well controlled after intensive treatment.
