A red pimple on the back

A red pimple on the back

If you have red bumps on your back, it is often a manifestation of skin damage, and sometimes it can cause itching. Generally, it is caused by allergies, such as eczema, which can make your body feel uncomfortable. You should go to the hospital to find out the cause in time, and then use local or systemic medication for treatment. You should also pay attention to your diet and stay away from allergens.

Things to note about eczema:

This disease is divided into acute and chronic types, and is closely related to people’s occupations and living environment. People who work in coal mines, tunnels and other humid environments for a long time, or people who live in humid areas or rooms for a long time are prone to this disease. This disease is severely itchy and recurrent.

The causes of eczema are complex, including both internal and external factors. People with allergic constitution, those who are under long-term mental stress and have great mood swings are prone to this disease; in addition, people with certain diseases, such as chronic digestive system diseases, gastrointestinal dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and metabolic disorders, are also prone to this disease under the influence of external factors. External factors include: ① The living and working environment is humid and the air humidity is relatively high; ② External stimuli, cold or hot, sweating a lot, excessive scratching, etc.; ③ Tight underwear, or friction from foreign objects, and wearing synthetic underwear can all induce scrotal eczema.

The main symptom of acute eczema is itching, and patients often discover the disease due to itching of the scrotum. As the disease progresses, the itching gradually becomes more severe and scratching cannot relieve it. In severe cases, it affects sleep and work.

The skin is diffusely red, swollen, and severely itchy, and many papules and blisters ranging in size from needle tips to rice grains may appear at the same time. After scratching or rubbing, the erythema, papules, and blisters rupture, revealing large areas of moist erosion, with a large amount of light yellow serous fluid oozing out, some of which condenses into pairs of light yellow scabs.

In terms of diet, you should avoid spicy foods, such as onions, ginger, garlic, etc. For drug treatment, cold compress is the main method in the acute phase. About 3000 ml of clean water can be used each time without adding any drugs, or 3 grams of alum can be added. Or use 10% Phellodendron chinense solution or 30 grams of dandelion and 15 grams of wild chrysanthemum to boil the soup and apply it on the skin after it cools down. If there is infection, add 1 gram of chlorhexidine or 0.1 gram of potassium permanganate and dissolve it in 3000 ml of clean water. These methods are very effective for scrotal itching and exudation.

Traditional treatment for the chronic stage is to apply Qingdai ointment or Pi Ku ointment externally. Heating and baking therapy is better. Fumigation or Sophora flavescens decoction bath can also be used. Western medicine treatment is mainly based on external use of prednisone ointment. It should be used for at least 1 to 2 months, applied to the affected area once in the morning and once in the evening. No bandaging is required. The thinner the better. There is no need to remove the previous medicine before the next application. Antibacterial ointment can be applied for infected eczema. For thicker scrotal eczema, tar ointments can be applied, such as 5% coal tar ointment, 5% pine oil ointment, 5% soybean oil ointment, etc.

Symptoms of the rash include the following:

(1) Small papules, herpes and blisters Densely distributed millet-sized papules or blisters with red bases can be found in the scrotum.

(2) Exudate and erosion surface Due to itching, scratching occurs, which causes papules, papulovesicles, blisters and other skin lesions to be broken, causing serous fluid to continuously exude, often soaking the underwear and forming erosion surface.

In addition, local washing with soapy water and scratching can aggravate the skin lesions, and drinking, insomnia, and tension can also aggravate the skin lesions.

This is all we have to say about the precautions related to scrotal eczema. Understanding the precautions related to scrotal eczema can help us detect the disease in time and receive timely treatment when we have the disease, which can reduce some harm and speed up recovery from the disease.
