How to cure common warts

Sometimes we find small flesh-colored bumps on our skin, which do not hurt or itch. Some people say that this is a manifestation of poor detoxification ability. In Western medicine, this is called common warts. There are many reasons for warts. The elderly are most likely to have warts. Warts are benign tumors. If they do not affect your life and do not grow too much, they do not require treatment. For common warts, if you do not want them, you can also take some methods to remove them.

Common warts [Overview] Warts are benign epidermal growths caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Common clinical warts include common warts, plantar warts, flat warts and genital warts.

[Symptoms and signs] 1. Generally no subjective symptoms, with occasional tenderness; 2. The skin lesions are pinpoint to pea-sized, semicircular or polygonal papules with a rough surface and obvious keratinization. It is slightly hard to the touch, and is grayish yellow, dirty brown or normal skin color, with papillary proliferation, and the surface is mostly pistil-like or thorn-like; 3. It is prone to occur on the fingers, back of the hands, nail edges and feet.

[Diagnostic basis] 1. It is common on fingers, back of hands, nail margins and feet; 2. The skin lesions are needle tip to pea-sized, hard papules with a rough surface and are stamen or thorn-like; 3. The initial onset is single, and can increase by self-inoculation. There are usually no subjective symptoms and the course of the disease is chronic.

Common warts can be treated in the following ways: Drug treatment of common warts 1. Systemic treatment: Chinese medicine decoction for oral administration, or mainly for clearing away heat and detoxification, or mainly for regulating qi and activating blood circulation, softening and dispersing nodules, which are usually effective. Commonly used Chinese medicines include Radix Isatidis, Folium Isatidis, Portulaca Oleracea, Patrinia Saposhnikoviae for clearing away heat and detoxification, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Rhizoma Paeoniae Rubra, Rhizoma Pruni, Safflower, Angelica Sinensis, Achyranthes bidentata for regulating qi and activating blood circulation, and Rhizoma Longji for softening and dispersing nodules.

Folk remedies for common warts

1. Mash the fruit of Brucea javanica into a paste and apply it to the wart (it is best to soak the affected area in hot water before application and scrape off the stratum corneum on the surface with a blade), fix it with cellophane and adhesive tape, and change the dressing once every 3 days.

2. Use 30 grams each of Equisetum arvense, Cyperus rotundus, and Isatis root, and 15 grams of Isatis indigotica, decoct them in water, and soak the affected area twice a day for 30 minutes each time.

3. Apply moxa sticks to the warts and apply moxibustion once a day until they fall off.

4. Apply Wu Miao Narcissus Cream to the wart and then seal it with adhesive tape.

Surgical treatment of common warts

Surgical resection is prone to recurrence and scar formation.

According to the characteristics of common warts, the method of using freezing and laser to treat common warts has won the favor of patients. The treatment is rapid, thorough, simple and easy with few side effects. In addition, for multiple or fused warts with a large area, comprehensive treatment is adopted, that is, oral Chinese medicine is combined with external Chinese medicine or cytotoxic drugs to promote the shedding of warts and help patients completely get rid of the trouble of common warts.
