Does nephritis require hospitalization? What are the common types of nephritis?

Nephritis is a very common kidney disease in life. It is becoming more and more common among younger people and should attract everyone's attention in life. So does nephritis require hospitalization? What are the types of nephritis?

Does nephritis require hospitalization?

Whether nephritis requires hospitalization depends on the severity of your condition. If the condition develops to a certain extent, you will need to be hospitalized. You should consult a relevant doctor for specific circumstances.

Types of Nephritis

1. Acute glomerulonephritis: This type of nephritis develops rapidly after severe infections such as pharyngitis, hepatitis, and HIV infection. It can also be caused by less common conditions such as lupus and Goodpasture's syndrome or Wegener's granulomatosis (GPA). If this type of nephritis occurs, seek medical attention promptly to prevent kidney damage.

2. Alport syndrome: can cause kidney failure and vision and hearing problems. It runs in families and is more severe in males than in females.

3. Chronic glomerulonephritis: It progresses slowly in the early stage with few symptoms, but can lead to severe kidney damage and renal failure. It is hereditary or occurs after other diseases occur.

4. IgA nephropathy: It is one of the most common nephritis except those associated with diabetes and lupus. The disease occurs when antibodies deposit in the kidneys, causing inflammation.

5. This type of nephritis is more common in men and less common in young people because the early symptoms are easily overlooked. Blood pressure-lowering drugs are often used.

6. Interstitial nephritis: generally progresses rapidly, often caused by drugs or infection. The affected area is the interstitial part of the kidney. If the patient takes medicine in time after the onset of the disease, he may recover within a few weeks.
