Can hemangioma be cured by injection?

Can hemangioma be cured by injection?
Although hemangioma is a relatively common disease and is a benign tumor, it is necessary to conduct timely examination and treatment after suffering from hemangioma. If the best time for treatment is missed, it will delay the patient's condition. Currently, the methods for treating hemangioma include surgical resection, freezing, radiotherapy, laser therapy and injection therapy. Patients should choose the treatment method according to their condition under the guidance of a doctor.

Treatment methods for hemangioma : 1. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment is a relatively traditional treatment method. Many patients with hemangiomas have undergone surgical treatment in the early days. However, everyone should know that surgical treatment has high risks, great harm, and is prone to recurrence, causing great harm to patients. 2. Laser therapy: Currently, the commonly used lasers for treating infantile hemangiomas include pulsed dye laser, YAG laser, photodynamic therapy and intense pulsed light system. Because the penetration depth of laser is limited and cannot damage the full layer of tissue of hemangioma, laser therapy is limited to the treatment of early, superficial and small hemangiomas.

3. Cryotherapy: Commonly used cryogens include liquid nitrogen, nitric oxide, dry ice, hyperbaric oxygen cryotherapy, chlorinated paraffin, etc. They are mostly used to treat superficial hemangiomas of the trunk and limbs. There are risks such as incomplete treatment, local scar formation, and color change. 4. Radiotherapy: Radiotherapy is also known as radionuclide therapy. Currently, commonly used ones include 32P, 90Sr, X-rays, and 60cobalt, etc. Because they have high requirements for irradiation dose and reasonable time arrangement, and have a greater impact on the baby's bone development, it will also increase the risk of cataracts and cancer, so it is rarely used clinically.

What examinations should be done before treatment of hemangioma? 1. B-ultrasound diagnosis: B-ultrasound is simple and easy to diagnose intrahepatic hemangioma, and has the advantages of high sensitivity. It is currently the most commonly used examination method in clinical practice. Hepatic hemangioma is often first discovered by B-ultrasound, which has a high sensitivity and can even detect small hemangiomas less than 1 cm, but its specificity is not high. 2. MRI diagnosis: MRI has good sensitivity to lesions containing blood vessels. The blood vessels of hepatic hemangiomas contain slow blood flow, and their T1 and T2 relaxation times are longer than those of solid tumors. This method has a higher detection rate, but the price is also higher. In short, ultrasound and CT are the most convenient methods for diagnosing hepatic hemangioma, while blood pool scanning and hepatic artery angiography are the diagnostic methods. 3. To confirm the diagnosis of cavernous hemangioma, generally, the symptoms of superficial cavernous hemangioma are more typical, and an experienced doctor can also confirm the diagnosis through visual observation and hand touch. For deeper cavernous hemangioma, since the symptoms are not obvious, it can be confirmed through ultrasound examination, X-ray examination, etc. If the cavernous hemangioma damages the surrounding normal tissues and organs, or causes complications, etc., the degree of harm of the hemangioma can be checked through CT, MRI, etc. 4. Positive postural test, palpation and phlebolithiasis, puncture to draw out coagulated whole blood (sponge type), pulsation can be felt, auscultation can produce a blowing murmur, compression of the supplying artery can eliminate the murmur (sprawling type).
