How to have twins

Wanting twins is subject to many conditions. For twins born from natural conception, it can be said that it is the result of multiple factors. We know that during the ovulation period, only two eggs can be released at a time. If these two eggs are fertilized separately, they can form a fertilized egg and finally give birth to two fetuses. The probability of this is relatively low. Of course, through conditioning in life and certain treatments, it can help increase the chance of having twins.

How to have twins

1. Find a spouse with twin genes

Generally speaking, women only release one egg each month. If two eggs are released at once and fertilized at the same time, the chances of having twins increase. If a woman is already pregnant with twins, her chance of giving birth to twins is as high as 1.7%, much higher than that of a man.

2. Take folic acid

A Swedish medical research institute pointed out that women who take folic acid have nearly twice the chance of conceiving twins than women who do not take it. Folic acid supplements may increase the frequency of ovulation, allowing multiple eggs to enter the uterus and thus produce twins.

3. Ovulation-inducing drugs

By taking ovulation-inducing drugs, women can release multiple eggs every month, greatly increasing the chances of having twins. Ovulation-stimulating drugs have adverse reactions such as dizziness, nausea, and liver and kidney damage, and should be taken under the guidance of a doctor.

4. Increase hormones

The main effect of hormone drugs is to stimulate the anterior pituitary gland to secrete gonadotropin, thereby inducing ovulation. This type of medicine may cause adverse reactions such as abdominal pain, breast swelling and pain, nausea, and dizziness, and should be taken under the guidance of a doctor.

5. IVF

In vitro fertilization refers to the use of artificial methods to fertilize eggs and sperm in vitro and carry out early embryonic development, and then transplant multiple fertilized eggs into the mother's uterus for development. There are relevant health regulations: those over 35 years old can implant 3 implants, and those under 35 years old can only implant 2 implants at most, in order to minimize the birth rate of twins or multiple births.
