Why does my baby have diarrhea and sweat?

Why does my baby have diarrhea and sweat?

It is very common in our lives for babies to have diarrhea. Whenever the baby is sick, mothers will be very anxious and wish they were the sick ones. Babies often have diarrhea because their digestive system is not very mature, so it will cause the baby to have indigestion. So why do babies sweat when they have diarrhea?

Why does the baby have diarrhea and sweaty nose?

First, symptoms caused by cold and fever

Children’s immunity is much weaker than that of adults, and they may catch a cold or fever if they are not careful. Generally, after this happens, the baby will be prone to diarrhea. At this time, because the body's immune cells will fight against the virus, the baby's body temperature will also change and sweat a lot. If this happens, we should not panic, we just need to help the baby treat the cold.

Second, symptoms caused by gastrointestinal infection

This situation is a relatively common type. Because the gastrointestinal tract of infants is not fully developed, it is easy to be infected by external bacteria. At this time, diarrhea and excessive sweating will occur. The key to treating this situation is to treat the bacterial infection.

Third, diseases caused by unreasonable diet

Some parents do not have much parenting experience and often feed their children inappropriate food, which can easily cause the baby to have diarrhea accompanied by sweating, so we must pay more attention to children's diet and life.

What to do if your baby has diarrhea

If the baby is under 6 months old and is breastfed, breastfeeding needs to continue; if the baby is not breastfed, the baby can continue to be fed with milk or dairy products that the baby consumes daily. Babies with mild symptoms can appropriately reduce the amount of milk they drink. If the baby is over 6 months old or has started eating solid food, give him some rice porridge or other starch mixed food. Families with conditions can add some vegetables, fish or minced meat, and add some vegetable oil to each feeding.

(1) You can give some fresh fruit juice or mashed banana to supplement potassium.

(2) Feed freshly prepared foods that are well cooked, ground, or mashed.

(3) Encourage your baby to eat and feed him at least 6 times a day.

(4) After the diarrhea stops, continue to feed the baby the above foods, and add meals at least once a day within two weeks after the diarrhea stops until the baby's weight returns to normal.

However, if the baby has severe diarrhea, he or she should fast for 8-24 hours and receive intravenous fluids.

There may be many reasons for diarrhea and sweating on the nose of babies. They should go to the hospital for examination to find out the cause of the disease so that they can receive appropriate treatment. Here I would like to remind mothers that if their babies have diarrhea, don’t be anxious. Check whether their babies have diarrhea more than 6 times a day. If so, they need treatment; if not, you can continue to observe for a few more days.
