What to do when you have signs of heat stroke

What to do when you have signs of heat stroke

Heatstroke should be relatively familiar to most people, and in fact, most people may suffer from heatstroke. The main reason for a person to suffer from heatstroke is that the outside temperature is too high. When the outside temperature exceeds the highest stable value that our human body can withstand, people will suffer from heatstroke. Of course, since everyone's physical fitness is different, the conditions for heatstroke are also different for everyone. So, what should you do when you experience signs of heat stroke?

In fact, most people want to know more about this issue, because after all, most people will suffer from heatstroke to a certain extent. The feeling of heatstroke is very uncomfortable, and there are generally many signs of heatstroke, usually: dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, etc. In response to this phenomenon, let’s talk about what to do when the signs of heat stroke appear.

In the hot summer, people who work outdoors are prone to heat stroke. What should we do when someone around us shows signs of heat stroke?

If you find yourself or others showing signs of heat stroke or mild symptoms of heat stroke, the first thing you should do is to quickly evacuate the high temperature environment that caused the heat stroke, choose a cool and ventilated place to rest; and drink more refreshing drinks containing salt. You can also apply cooling oil, wind oil, etc. on the forehead and temples, or take Chinese medicine such as Ren Dan, Shi Di Shui, and Huoxiang Zhengqi Shui. If low blood pressure or collapse occurs, you should lie down immediately and go to the hospital for intravenous saline drip in time.

For those suffering from severe heatstroke, in addition to immediately transferring them from the high temperature environment to a cool and ventilated place, they should also be quickly sent to the hospital and comprehensive measures should be taken to treat them.

If away from the hospital, the patient should be removed from the high temperature environment, wrapped in wet sheets or wet clothes and powered by a strong fan to increase evaporative heat dissipation. While waiting for transfer, soaking the patient in a lake or river, or even cooling with snow or ice is also a good idea.

If the patient is shivering, the cooling process should be slowed down because shivering increases core body temperature.

The specific processing methods are as follows:

1. Move. Quickly carry the patient to a ventilated, cool and dry place, have him lie flat and unbutton, loosen or take off his clothes. If the clothes are soaked with sweat, change them.

2. Cool down. You can cover the patient's head with a cold towel, or use 50% alcohol, white wine or ice water for a full body bath, and then use an electric fan to blow air to accelerate heat dissipation. But do not lower the patient's temperature quickly. Stop cooling measures when the temperature drops to 38 degrees Celsius.

3. Rehydrate. You can drink some sugary salt water or other beverages, but don't rush to replenish a large amount of water, otherwise it will cause vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea and other symptoms.

Therefore, through the detailed introduction in the above article, I believe most people should have understood the correct answers to the above questions. In fact, when our body shows signs of heat stroke, there are generally many effective treatment measures, which we can find from the above understanding. Therefore, when we have the signs of heat stroke in normal times, we must generally take effective measures to treat it immediately.
