The impact of high air humidity on people

Too much humidity in the air can make you feel listless and out of shape. Moreover, if the environment is kept damp for a long time, it is easy to get rheumatoid arthritis. If the humidity in the air is too low, it may affect the respiratory system. If the air is too dry, people may have difficulty breathing. Generally, it is most comfortable to control the humidity between 40% and 60%. If it exceeds this range, the body may experience some adverse reactions.

When the air humidity is too high, the pineal gland in the human body secretes a large amount of pineal hormone, which makes the concentration of thyroid hormone and adrenaline in the body relatively lower. The cells will become "lazy" and people will feel listless and depressed. Working or living in humid places (such as mountains and islands) for a long time can also make you more susceptible to rheumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.

At a certain temperature, the less water vapor a certain volume of air contains, the drier the air is; the more water vapor a certain volume of air contains, the more humid the air is. In this sense, physical quantities such as absolute humidity, relative humidity, comparative humidity, mixing ratio, saturation difference and dew point are often used to express it; if the weight of liquid water in wet steam is expressed as a percentage of the total weight of steam, it is called the humidity of the air.

Humid air is harmful to the human body at any temperature.

The impact of air humidity on health:

In the summer

If the air humidity is high, people will feel stuffy and it will affect the body's water discharge, which can easily lead to problems such as heat stroke.

In winter

The air is very humid and the temperature is low. The water vapor in the atmosphere will absorb the body's heat, making people feel cold and prone to catching a cold. If the humidity reaches more than 80%, people may suffer from rheumatism, kidney disease and other problems. The humidity of the air is the content of water vapor in the air. When the content of water vapor reaches a certain level, the human body's heat consumption will change. Changes in the body's heat loss will cause people to catch colds.

No matter what time and season it is, if the humidity in the air is too high, it will affect people's comfort. People's comfort will naturally show their physical reactions. Discomfort proves that it affects people's health. It may not be a big deal in a short time, but if it lasts for a long time, it will cause people to become sick.
