What to do if pregnancy is particularly uncomfortable?

Pregnancy is something every woman must go through, and the symptoms of pregnancy are different for different people. Some women will not show any symptoms during pregnancy, some women feel very uncomfortable during pregnancy, and the early pregnancy reactions are also very uncomfortable. Some people are so uncomfortable that they even plan to give up having a baby. In fact, these are all normal reactions during pregnancy. There is no need to worry too much. Most women’s pregnancy symptoms will slowly disappear after three months.

What should I do if I have many problems and feel uncomfortable all over after pregnancy?

Nausea and vomiting: It mainly occurs in the early pregnancy. Most people will get better after 3-4 months, but a few people will experience nausea and vomiting until the middle and late stages of pregnancy. Most people do not need special treatment. Just remember to eat small and frequent meals and keep the diet light. If you vomit a lot, you can try drinking concentrated ginger soup. This folk remedy may be useful for some people. If the vomiting is severe, hospitalization may be required. Some people do not experience nausea or vomiting after pregnancy, but their taste becomes strange, and they have a strong desire to eat some strange things. As long as these strange things do not affect their health, satisfy them.

Edema: When entering the middle and late stages of pregnancy, many people will experience swollen hands or feet. Some people do not have obvious edema, but when they wake up in the morning they will find that their fingers are swollen and uncomfortable and cannot bend. This is mostly caused by hidden edema. Just move your fingers more and it will get better after a while. For expectant mothers with obvious edema, in addition to soaking their feet before going to bed at night and elevating their feet with pillows, they can also try drinking some diuretic winter melon soup and light soy milk according to Chinese medicine, which can sometimes be helpful.

Insomnia: After pregnancy, many expectant mothers will suffer from insomnia and be unable to fall asleep. Although it is very painful, there is really no good way to deal with it. Taking sleeping pills is generally not recommended. You can try soaking your feet in hot water, drinking milk, or using some Chinese medicine to help you sleep before going to bed. This type of insomnia is often temporary and will go away after giving birth. Even if it cannot recover automatically, your baby will cure your insomnia because he/she is like a small alarm clock. He/she will wake you up every 3-4 hours to feed you. Then you will fall asleep right after feeding the baby. Some people even fall asleep while feeding.

Rashes and eczema: This is what Chinese medicine calls "fetal qi", which is sometimes accompanied by itching. If you go to see a dermatologist, he or she will most likely prescribe calamine lotion for you, and will not prescribe ointments or oral medications containing hormones. In fact, if the eczema is severe, you can apply a small amount of ointment containing low-concentration glucocorticoids topically, which will not affect the fetus.

Low back pain: After pregnancy, the levels of estrogen and progesterone increase significantly, which can cause ligament relaxation in certain parts of the body and sometimes small shifts or dislocations in the joints, leading to low back pain or other joint pain. In addition, the enlargement of the uterus will increase the pull on the lumbar ligaments and cause discomfort. The solution is to do some stretching exercises for the waist or joints. Local massage may also be helpful.

Frequent urination: especially at night, often having to get up to urinate. This is mainly caused by the enlarged uterus pressing the bladder forward after entering the second half of pregnancy. In the late stage of pregnancy, the uterus mainly enlarges upward, which will be better.

Excessive vaginal discharge: a normal symptom during pregnancy. If it is accompanied by obvious itching, odor, or dregs-like leucorrhea, further examination is needed. After pregnancy, under the action of estrogen and progesterone, the vaginal environment changes, making vaginal fungal infection very likely to occur. For those with obvious symptoms, Class B antifungal drugs can be used for treatment.

I feel very uncomfortable and get angry at everyone I see: Postpartum depression is common, and prenatal depression may also occur. Okay, husband, be more tolerant, but don’t go too far and lose your temper less. When a woman is pregnant, it is the wife who suffers and the husband who gets angry.
