How comedones are formed

Comedones are also called sebaceous cysts, commonly known as comedones. They are mainly caused by blockage in the excretion ducts of the sebaceous glands, which will form retention cysts. Generally, such cysts are benign and have little impact on health. Of course, if they appear on exposed skin, they often affect the appearance. Sometimes such cysts grow relatively fast, so you must be vigilant and remove them in time.

How comedones are formed

Sebaceous cyst, commonly known as "sebaceous tumor", refers to the formation of cysts due to accumulation of sebaceous glands in the gland after the sebaceous gland duct is blocked. This is the most common type of benign skin tumor. Many people have experienced developing a cyst, especially young people who are in their growth and development period. Sebaceous cysts are most common on the scalp and face, followed by the trunk. Due to their different depths and amounts of contents, their sizes vary greatly, ranging from as small as a grain of rice to as large as an egg. It is often diagnosed as lipoma, fibroma, etc. Sebaceous cysts grow very slowly, but patients can still feel them gradually increasing in size. Sebaceous cyst is called "sebaceous cyst" in traditional Chinese medicine. It is mainly a retention cyst formed by obstruction of the sebaceous gland excretion duct, which causes the sebaceous gland cystic epithelium to swell with the gradually increasing contents. The contents of the cyst are white curd-like sebaceous gland secretions.

Treatment

Medication 1. For early mild cases of combined infection, oral Pioneer IV is the main treatment. 2. If the infection is more serious, intramuscular injection of capreol is the main treatment. [6]

Treatment principles 1. Surgical resection: Once diagnosed, the cyst should be completely removed surgically. 2. Patients with concurrent infection should be given oral antibiotics (such as enhanced sulfamethoxazole tablets, midecamycin, etc.) and anti-inflammatory treatments such as hot compresses, and surgical resection should be performed after the inflammation subsides. You must listen to the doctor. If you need to have surgery now, you must do it. Don't worry, the doctor will have a dosage for anesthesia. If the scar is big, you can have plastic surgery.
