How to self-diagnose high-level water rupture

How to self-diagnose high-level water rupture

Many people don’t know much about high-level amniotic fluid rupture. This is a symptom that occurs when a pregnant woman is about to give birth. When high-level amniotic fluid ruptures, pregnant women often experience lower abdominal pain, abnormal leucorrhea, and often private itching and painful symptoms. When a pregnant woman experiences high-level amniotic fluid rupture, she must take some measures to relieve the symptoms. Let’s learn about it.

1. How to self-diagnose high-level water rupture

1. Lower abdominal pain

There are many diseases that can cause lower abdominal pain, especially many gynecological diseases can cause lower abdominal symptoms, such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, etc. A mass will be found on one side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by persistent distension and pain in the lower abdomen or paroxysmal colic. However, if there is only lower abdominal pain or paroxysmal pain, it generally indicates symptoms such as adnexitis and pelvic infection.

2. Abnormal leucorrhea

Under normal circumstances, women of childbearing age have a small amount of thin, transparent or milky white vaginal discharge. If the leucorrhea suddenly turns yellow, rice soup-like, meat washing water-like, purulent, foamy, or tofu dregs-like, and has a foul odor, it indicates that there is a disease in the reproductive organs, the most common of which is various inflammations.

3. Vaginal itching

Under normal circumstances, there is no abnormal feeling in the vulva. If the vulva feels itchy, it often indicates that there is inflammation in the vulva, which is usually caused by fungal inflammation, bacterial inflammation, or trichomoniasis. /

4. Pain

Normal women will not feel pain, but when there is inflammation or infection, or the skin of the vulva is damaged, they will feel pain when stimulated. If this happens, it most likely indicates that you are suffering from various inflammations, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, etc. You should seek medical treatment in time to avoid delaying the condition.

2. What should I do if high-level water breaks?

1. If the pregnant woman's water breaks when the gestational age has reached 37 weeks, it is considered a full-term pregnancy; basically, for early water rupture after 36 weeks, the doctor tends not to perform tocolysis treatment and can prepare for delivery.

2. If the amniotic fluid breaks between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, the treatment will depend on the condition of the mother and the fetus. Usually the mother will be hospitalized to preserve the pregnancy and given antibiotics and tocolytic drugs. Generally speaking, the prognosis is good, and if the fetal weight exceeds 2,000 grams, there will be fewer sequelae.

3. Early rupture of membranes before 32 weeks of pregnancy, the earlier the time, the worse the prognosis and the more likely it is to have premature birth. In addition, the lack and loss of amniotic fluid will also greatly restrict the development of the fetus.

4. If early rupture of membranes occurs before 20 weeks, the treatment effect is usually not good, there are many sequelae, and the chance of fetal survival is very low. Therefore, some doctors may consider inducing labor to terminate the pregnancy after careful consideration. However, expectant mothers do not need to worry too much when facing early rupture of membranes, because sometimes the rupture of the amniotic membrane is very small, or the membrane ruptures at a high position, and it may heal slowly afterwards, and the amniotic fluid will no longer flow out. It is recommended that a doctor make a detailed diagnosis first and then decide on the best treatment method.
