For people, feet are "tools" for walking. Of course, sometimes feet also play other roles. For example, for football players, feet are like guns in the hands of soldiers, and are powerful weapons to win victory. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, there are many acupoints on the feet, so the treatment of certain diseases can also be achieved through these acupoints. So, what are the benefits and methods of rubbing the soles of your feet? There are several ways to rub the soles of your feet: 1. Dry rub. Hold the front of your left foot with your left hand, and rub the sole of your foot up and down 100 times with your right hand until the sole of your foot becomes warm; then hold your right ankle with your right hand, and rub the sole of your foot up and down 100 times with your left hand. The intensity of the rubbing should be appropriate to your comfort. 2. Rub with wet cloth. Place your feet in a basin of warm water and soak until they turn red, then rub them using the first method. 3. Rub with wine. Pour about half a tael of white wine into a cup and follow the first method, except dip the hands you are rubbing your feet in a little white wine, and dip them again after the wine is dry. Rub the soles of your feet 100 times each according to the first method. 4. Rub the soles of your feet with your palms. The method of connecting the heart and kidneys is called rubbing the soles of the feet with the palms of your hands. We must not underestimate this method, as it incorporates profound principles of traditional Chinese medicine. There is an acupuncture point on the kidney meridian on the soles of our feet called Yongquan Point, and on our hands is the Laogong Point. When we have nothing to do, we can sit on the bed, cross our left and right hands, rub the soles of our feet with our palms, or pat the soles of our feet with our palms. Doing this will help the kidneys to perform their storage function, draw the Qi downward, and pull down the false fire above. This way, the Qi will not be congested above, and the disease will naturally be cured. Laogong point is an acupuncture point on the pericardium meridian. The so-called "pericardium" is like the capsule that protects the heart outside. It can "take the evil on behalf of the king", that is, when evil spirits invade the heart, it comes out to protect it and is invaded first. The Yongquan point is located on the sole of the foot. If the sole of the foot is divided into three parts, the Yongquan point is at the junction of the front one-third and the back two-thirds. As the name suggests, it is like a spring gushing out, and Yongquan point is the place where "kidney essence" enters and exits. Rub the Laogong point and Yongquan point against each other. Use the Laogong point on your right hand to rub the Yongquan point on your left foot until it becomes warm and hot. Conversely, use the Laogong point on your left hand to rub the Yongquan point on your right foot. The best times are Zi, Wu, Mao and You. In this way, the purpose of training the heart and kidneys can be achieved. |
