How to prevent hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are the most common anorectal disease. As the saying goes, nine out of ten people have hemorrhoids. If you do not pay attention to some good habits, it may induce the occurrence of hemorrhoids. For example, sitting for a long time and eating too spicy food are important causes of hemorrhoids. In addition, catching a cold and poor conditioning during pregnancy may also cause hemorrhoids. We should strengthen the prevention of hemorrhoids in our daily life. Let us learn about it.

How to prevent hemorrhoids

1. Keep your lower body warm

Keep the blood flowing smoothly throughout the body, drink plenty of water, and prevent dehydration, dry intestines, and hard stools.

2. Avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time

Timely treatment of systemic diseases such as heart, lung, and liver should be carried out to avoid increased abdominal pressure and hemorrhoidal venous hypertension.

3. Pay attention to health care during pregnancy and childbirth

After a woman becomes pregnant, the enlarged uterus affects the return of hemorrhoidal veins, which can easily induce hemorrhoids. In addition, there is generally less activity during pregnancy, which causes dry stools and induces hemorrhoids. A large amount of blood is lost after delivery, and the intestines become dry and dry, resulting in dry stools and constipation, which aggravates or induces hemorrhoids. Therefore, during pregnancy, you should increase your activities appropriately, avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time, and use warm water to fumigate the anus after each bowel movement to improve blood circulation. After delivery, you should eat more foods rich in body fluids, such as honey, to prevent dry stools and constipation, which may cause hemorrhoids.

4. Do pelvic floor exercises regularly

The specific method is: relax your whole body, sitting, standing or lying down, put aside all distracting thoughts, intentionally contract your anus, slowly pull it up, as if you are holding back a bowel movement, imagine lifting the sinking air to your dantian, and then relax. Repeat this several times to dozens of times, generally do it 30 times each time, twice a day. This exercise can be done anytime and anywhere, such as while working, riding in a car, watching TV, walking, or resting, and it is very effective.

5. Self-massage

Hemorrhoids are the result of local blood stasis. Massage is one of my country's traditional methods of fitness and disease prevention. Changqiang point (in front of the tip of the coccyx) is the preferred acupuncture point for treating hemorrhoids. Massage at Changqiang point can significantly improve local blood circulation, and is very effective in prevention and treatment.

6. Live a regular life

Do more physical exercise, which is beneficial to blood circulation, promotes gastrointestinal motility, improves blood circulation and prevents the occurrence of hemorrhoids.

7. Prevent constipation

Constipation is one of the causes of hemorrhoids. In daily diet, you should eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and other foods rich in fiber and vitamins, and eat less spicy and irritating foods. For stubborn constipation, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible to treat the primary disease. Do not take laxatives or enema for a long time, so as to avoid rectal mucosal insensitivity, slow defecation reflex, aggravating constipation and causing hemorrhoids.
