What to eat for gallbladder inflammation

The gallbladder stores bile in our body. The liver secretes bile, and the gallbladder is responsible for storage and discharge. They are a good pair. There is a phrase called "loyalty to each other" which perfectly describes this kind of relationship. However, people can also get sick when exposed to negative stimuli. The most common one is cholecystitis. Cholecystitis is quite painful and can cause severe pain when it occurs. Therefore, people with cholecystitis must pay attention to their lifestyle habits, especially their diet. So what should they pay attention to eating?

1. Acute cholecystitis

① The cause is often greasy food.

②Sudden onset of persistent severe pain in the right upper abdomen with paroxysmal aggravation, which may radiate to the right scapula, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and fever.

③ There is tenderness and muscle tension in the right upper abdomen, positive Murphy's sign, and jaundice may be seen in a few cases.

④ The white blood cell and neutrophil counts increase, and the serum icterus index and bilirubin may increase.

⑤B-ultrasound can show enlarged gallbladder, thickened or rough gallbladder wall, floating light spots in the gallbladder, and image of stones can be seen when accompanied by stones.

⑥X-ray examination: The plain film of the abdomen in the gallbladder area may show a shadow of enlarged gallbladder.

2. Chronic cholecystitis

① Persistent dull pain or discomfort in the right upper abdomen, or accompanied by pain in the right scapular area.

② There are symptoms of indigestion such as nausea, belching, acid reflux, abdominal distension and heartburn, which are aggravated after eating greasy food.

③The course of the disease is long, and the course of the disease is characterized by alternation of acute attacks and remissions.

④ There may be mild tenderness and percussion pain in the gallbladder area.

⑤ There is increased mucus in the bile, white blood cells are piled up, and bacterial culture is positive.

⑥B-ultrasound can show gallbladder stones, thickening of the gallbladder wall, and shrinkage or deformation of the gallbladder.

⑦ Cholecystography may reveal gallstones, shrunken or deformed gallbladder, poor gallbladder contraction function, or faint gallbladder imaging.

1. Pay attention to food hygiene and prevent bacteria and insect eggs from entering the body through the mouth.

2. Eat more vegetables and fruits, such as spinach, leeks, celery, apples, bananas, etc.

3. Try to use vegetable oil for cooking, avoid using animal oil, and focus on steaming and stewing, and avoid deep-frying.

4. Eat lean meat, fish, chicken and bean products in moderation.

5. Eat more foods that promote bile secretion, relax the bile duct sphincter and promote bile secretion, such as hawthorn, black plum, and corn silk (soaked in water).

Five taboos: 1. Avoid eating high-cholesterol foods such as animal heart, liver, brain, intestines, egg yolk, preserved eggs, caviar, chocolate, etc.

2. Avoid eating high-fat foods such as fatty meat, fried foods, cakes, snacks, fried dough sticks, etc.

3. Avoid overeating.

4. Avoid spicy condiments such as chili, pepper powder, curry powder, etc.

5. Avoid smoking, drinking and coffee to prevent them from stimulating the bile duct sphincter and causing spasm of the bile duct sphincter, thereby making bile excretion difficult.

There are three aspects to the treatment of cholecystitis and gallstones: diet therapy, drug therapy and surgical therapy. Diet therapy: fasting and intravenous infusion during an attack; after symptoms improve, liquid food is given, but oily foods, alcohol and coffee should be avoided.
