How to relieve vomiting due to kidney stones

Kidney stones are stones that appear in the kidneys. They need to be slowly repaired and treated through surgery and stone-removing drugs to achieve a certain therapeutic effect. Patients with kidney stones often experience nausea and vomiting, and may even have hematuria. The cause needs to be found and then slowly adjusted. This will allow recovery to be faster and is good for the body.

Can kidney stones cause vomiting?

This is a very common disease. The answer is yes. When kidney stones move, they can cause nausea and vomiting. There is a moment when our kidneys, ureters, and bladder are all controlled by the visceral autonomic nervous system. When the stones occur, it will stimulate the entire gastrointestinal tract to have this strong reaction, with obvious symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and even hematuria.

For patients with stones, if vomiting is severe, it clearly indicates that the stone may not be particularly large and is easy to move, falling from the renal calyx to the renal pelvis and ureter.

For larger stones, they may block the kidneys, and the obstruction site may cause water accumulation in the kidneys. When the water accumulation reaches a certain level, there will be symptoms of nausea and vomiting due to renal failure.

It is recommended that everyone detect and deal with it early. There are many ways to deal with it.

3 Ways to Relieve Kidney Stone Pain

1. When the stone is located in the upper part of the kidney, the patient can jump on both feet in place for more than 5 minutes. For stones in the middle part of the ureter, the patient can jump on one foot on the affected side, and for stones in the lower part of the ureter, the patient can jump on one foot on the healthy side.

2. When the stone is located in the middle of the kidney, the patient should lie on his side with the affected side facing up.

3. When the stone is located in the lower part of the kidney, the patient cannot use the above method and should instead frequently adopt the inverted or hip-knee position. Some doctors have invented inversion beds specifically for the treatment of some types of stones.

Other Ways to Relieve Kidney Stone Pain

1. Use the thumb of your right hand to press the painful points on the patient's back. This will have a therapeutic effect on urinary stones through meridian conduction. Acupressure therapy has an immediate effect on renal colic and can also promote stone excretion.

2. Hot compress. For renal colic, you can apply hot compress to the painful side of the waist. Hot compress can help relieve the spasmodic contractions of the renal pelvis and ureter, and relieve renal colic. You can use a hot and wet towel or a hot water bottle, but be careful not to burn the skin.

3. Drink a few sips of hot water. After the hot water stimulates the digestive tract, it can relieve the spasmodic contractions of the renal pelvis and ureter through nerve reflex.
