What does the MMR vaccine protect against?

The MMR vaccine is used to prevent measles, mumps, rubella, etc. It is a national Class I vaccine. The MMR vaccine is a combined live attenuated vaccine. Every healthy baby must be vaccinated with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is one of the most common acute respiratory infectious diseases in children. It is mainly caused by the measles virus. It is a self-limiting disease and is highly contagious. Mumps, also known as mumps, is mainly an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by the mumps virus. It is a common disease among children, is highly contagious and harmful. Rubella is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by the rubella virus, which usually includes congenital infection and acquired infection. After patients are vaccinated with the combined attenuated measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, the body can be stimulated to produce antibodies against measles virus, mumps virus and rubella virus, thereby producing immunity to measles, mumps and rubella. Generally, measles, mumps and rubella vaccination is suitable throughout the year, but it is best not to be vaccinated during the epidemic season of the disease.

Adverse reactions will occur after vaccination with the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine. Pain and tenderness will occur at the injection site about 24 hours after vaccination, but in most cases it will disappear naturally in two to three days. Some patients will have a fever reaction after vaccination, which will last for one to two days and then subside on its own. Parents do not need to worry too much.
