What to do if you have a brain tumor convulsion

The brain is the headquarters of the human body and also the center of human neurons. For brain diseases, in addition to the more common senile cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumors have a relatively high mortality rate. Brain tumors include various intracranial tumors, which can be divided into benign and malignant. Malignant brain tumors are also called "brain cancer". Brain tumors can also cause many symptoms, such as headaches, vomiting, optic disc edema, fatigue, paralysis, numbness, etc. Let’s learn how to deal with brain tumor convulsions.

What to do if you have a brain tumor convulsion:

Generally, if there are no symptoms, benign brain tumors do not require treatment. However, if symptoms occur or the tumor grows, surgical treatment is required. The patient's convulsions may be caused by the compression of normal brain tissue by the growth of the tumor. If surgery is not performed, as the tumor grows, it will compress more and more normal tissue and the symptoms will become more and more severe. Therefore, you'd better take him to the hospital for examination and regular check-ups. If the tumor becomes larger, surgical treatment is required.

Dietary considerations after surgery:

Patients who have no swallowing problems within 6 hours after waking up from anesthesia can eat a small amount of liquid food, and then gradually change to soft food; patients who continue to faint and have swallowing problems within 24 hours after surgery should be fed a liquid diet through nasogastric feeding. During nasogastric feeding, attention should be paid to: eat small and frequent meals, each with less than 200 ml, with an interval of more than 2 hours to avoid indigestion;

A high-calorie, high-protein, high-nutrient, low-salt diet is recommended. Avoid sodium ion retention in the body, which can lead to increased blood pressure and thus increased intracranial pressure. Ensure the patient's nutrition and facilitate the recovery of tissues after surgery; the temperature is 38-40℃ to avoid scalding the patient.

Although diet has a great impact on our physical health, not everything is good for patients with diseases. In terms of diet, it is hoped that brain tumor patients and their families can pay more attention to the dietary taboos of brain tumor patients in their daily lives, and never harm the patient's body. The patient's body is very weak and cannot withstand any tossing. Eat more foods that are helpful to the body, such as kelp, centipedes, scorpions, geckos, jellyfish, asparagus, wheat, eels, pork liver, etc.

What are the dietary restrictions for brain tumors?

A reasonable diet can help assist in treatment, but violating some dietary taboos may cause the risk of worsening the disease. Therefore, patients with liposarcoma should follow a reasonable diet. The first step to prevent disease is to start with your mouth and reduce the harm of taboo foods to yourself through your diet.
