There is an old saying that it takes a hundred days to heal a broken bone, which means that if you hurt your bones you must take good care of them. Bone injuries are difficult to recover from, and you cannot do any big movements during the recovery period, such as running or lifting heavy objects. Some people say that you should not have sex if you have broken bones. I suggest you try to avoid it and be patient. After all, your health is a big deal. It will be troublesome if the treatment effect is affected by an impulse. So what else should you pay attention to during the injury period? A sprain of muscles and bones refers to an abnormal range of movement of a joint under the action of external force, causing damage to the internal and external collateral ligaments of the joint. Symptoms include joint pain, swelling, subcutaneous bruising, and joint dysfunction, the severity of which increases with the extent of injury. What to do after a bone injury? 1. Do not twist it randomly When people sprain their limbs, they often turn or massage them involuntarily. However, twisting them randomly will aggravate the symptoms of the injured part. Especially before an accurate diagnosis, the sprained part should not be moved randomly. If it is a limb, the wrist should be raised to allow blood flow to flow smoothly. The correct method is as follows: if it is an upper arm fracture, it is best to place the arm at the same level as the heart. If it is a lower limb, the leg should be raised above the knee level. 2. Do not apply hot compress Apply cold compress Many of us will apply a hot towel to the painful area after a fall or sprain, thinking that it will be more comfortable. However, this is not the right way to do it, because the capillaries are bleeding, and the hot compress will further expand the blood vessels, causing more severe hematoma and slowing down the healing process. If it is a fracture, then hot compress should not be applied. Cold compress can control the amount of capillary bleeding. Therefore, hot compress on the injured area is absolutely not recommended. If the pain is unbearable, you can use ice cubes for cold compress. 3. Apply safflower oil After the capillaries are broken, applying safflower oil will speed up the blood flow and increase the swelling. In the acute stage of injury, that is, within 24 hours, if safflower oil is applied and rubbed, it will increase the blood oozing and swelling of the injured part. Therefore, safflower oil must be used 24 hours after the injury occurs. At the same time, it is not suitable for patients with skin ulcers or allergies. 4. Apply ointment for injuries caused by falls Traumatic injury plaster allows drugs to quickly penetrate through human skin, producing the effects of promoting blood circulation and qi, relaxing muscles and dispersing knots. However, if a fracture has occurred at the sprained part, applying the plaster will only temporarily relieve the surface symptoms, the fractured part will not heal, and it is easy to be dislocated, and finally cause bone deformity. |
