Scar plastic surgery method

Scar plastic surgery method

Scars are very common in our daily life. Accidental cuts, burns, scalds, or surgical injuries will form certain scars. If the scars are severe, or there are problems such as scar hyperplasia, they can be repaired through scar plastic surgery. There are many methods, including surgical methods, dermabrasion methods, scar drug injection methods, etc.

Scar plastic surgery method

1. Minimally invasive cosmetic surgery for scars

Minimally invasive cosmetic plastic surgery for scars, combining leading technologies from China and South Korea, provides one-time treatment with good results and quick recovery. There are two major differences from traditional suturing methods: one is the different suturing method, and the other is the different suturing materials used. Minimally invasive cosmetic scar repair surgery uses imported suture materials. Based on the anatomical structure of the skin and the suturing principles of microsurgery, microneedles are inserted at special angles and the skin is layered according to its natural physiological layers for non-invasive cosmetic suture. The incision does not require epidermal sutures after surgery, there are no needle holes on the surface, and the surface is smooth and flat after the incision heals without obvious marks, thus minimizing the area of the incision scar. The traditional general surgical suture method using large needles and thick threads often leaves obvious centipede-like needle eye scars and cord-like incision scars, etc., which is one of the main causes of traumatic scar formation.

2. Simple excision and suture

Simple excision and suture method is suitable for the third type of small and medium-sized facial scars. After the skin scar is removed, the wound is carefully closed with a small needle and fine thread, preferably along the skin grain, leaving only a thin scar line after the operation. Sometimes, fractional scar excision can be used for people with larger scars and tight skin. However, the first and second operations are usually separated by more than half a year.

3. Facial scar excision and skin grafting

Scars of larger areas cannot be sutured directly after scar excision because these patients do not have much normal skin on their faces. At this time, you can divide the face into natural areas (forehead, upper and lower eyelids, nose, upper and lower lips, and mandible) and fill in a whole piece of skin in a natural area. Depending on the amount of scar removed, you can decide how many parts of skin to transplant. There is another method suitable for patients with facial scars covering the entire face, that is, the entire facial scar can be removed at one time; and a whole piece of skin can be transplanted. This can avoid the formation of scars at the connection between the partitioned skin grafts, and the postoperative appearance is better than that of the partitioned skin grafts. The best skin grafts to use are full-thickness skin grafts or skin grafts with subdermal vascular networks, because after these two types of skin grafts survive as free transplants, the color of the face will not be too dark, and the cosmetic effect will be better.

4. Scar repair using flap method

Since the flap contains a large amount of subcutaneous fat tissue, in addition to being used to repair skin defects after facial scar excision, it also has the function of protecting deep tissues. Skin flap transplantation is also a commonly used method for scar repair near some facial organs. For example, defects such as nasal wing defects, ectropion deformity, and corner of mouth deformity all require cosmetic surgery based on skin flap transplantation. After skin flap transplantation, its color is closer to facial skin, and it can also be used to fill and repair some facial tissue defects. In addition, skin flap has better blood supply and a higher survival rate than free skin grafting. Therefore, it is also a commonly used method in facial scar plastic surgery.
