How is rosacea caused?

There are many types of eczema, and one of the types that has no clear cause is eczema rosea, so many people who suffer from eczema rosea don’t know how they got the disease. This skin disease, like other types of eczema, will cause itchy skin when it occurs. If it is not treated in time, the disease may be delayed and infection may occur. So how does rosacea develop?

How is rosacea caused?

Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin disease with an unknown cause. Because the disease has seasonal attacks, the rash is self-limited, rarely recurs, and initially appears as prodromal spots, and no definite allergic substance has been found to cause the disease, most people believe that it is related to viral infection. During the acute phase, washing with hot water and scrubbing with soap are contraindicated. Strong irritating topical medications are prohibited. Clinically, many cases are seen where insufficient attention is paid to general treatment, thus prolonging the course of the disease or turning it into autosensitive dermatitis. Antihistamines

Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine, cyproheptadine, terfenadine and chlorpheniramine can be used appropriately, and vitamin C can also be used. After the acute inflammatory period of ultraviolet radiation is over, ultraviolet spot irradiation can promote the disappearance of damage. Topical treatment

Calamine lotion can be applied externally.

Because the disease is self-limited, the goal of treatment is to relieve symptoms and shorten the course of the disease.

1. General treatment

During the acute phase, washing with hot water and washing with soap are contraindicated. Do not use strongly irritating external medications. Clinically, many patients have their condition aggravated, prolonged, or transformed into autosensitive dermatitis due to improper local care.

2. Antihistamines

Antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine, cyproheptadine, terfenadine and chlorpheniramine can be used appropriately, and vitamin C can also be used.

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine

The treatment principle of traditional Chinese medicine is to clear away heat and cool blood, dispel wind and relieve itching. Generally, Liangxue Xiaofeng Decoction is effective. For mild patients, Lithospermum officinale can be used, decocted in water and taken once a day.

4. UV exposure

After the acute inflammatory period is over, ultraviolet spot irradiation can promote the disappearance of lesions.

5. Topical treatment

Calamine lotion can be applied externally.
