Postpartum private care tips

Postpartum private care tips

Women should pay more attention to the care of their private parts after giving birth. At this time, the physical condition of the mother is relatively poor. If she does not pay attention to personal hygiene, it is easy to induce some gynecological inflammation. After giving birth, she should pay attention to moderate exercise and avoid standing for a long time to avoid uterine prolapse. It is best to urinate in time after giving birth, which will help the metabolism of inflammatory body fluids. In addition, she should pay attention to diet adjustment and improve disease resistance.

Postpartum private care tips

1. Remember the time for postpartum activities.

You can sit in bed for a while 8 hours after delivery. If the delivery goes smoothly, you can get out of bed and go to the toilet 12 hours after delivery. You can move freely within 24 hours after delivery, but avoid standing, squatting or doing heavy work for long periods of time to prevent uterine prolapse.

2. The mother needs to urinate every 4 to 6 hours.

Women who give birth naturally can urinate 4 hours after giving birth. A small number of mothers have difficulty urinating and develop urinary retention. The cause may be related to long-term pressure on the bladder and perineal pain reflex. Mothers should be encouraged to get up and urinate as much as possible. If it is really difficult, you can ask a doctor for help. If you still cannot urinate, catheterization should be performed.

3. Except for family members, relatives and friends should not visit the mother and baby too early.

Since mothers who have just given birth need to rest to recover their strength, it is best for relatives and friends not to visit at this time. If you come to visit, the time should not exceed half an hour, and you should give the mother as much time as possible to rest. It is best for relatives and friends with chronic diseases or colds not to visit the mother and newborn to avoid cross infection.

4. Do not eat whole eggs within a few hours after delivery.

Although my country has always had the habit of eating eggs to increase milk production, medical research shows that it is best for mothers not to eat the whole egg within a few hours after giving birth. Because during the delivery process, the mother consumes a lot of physical energy, sweats a lot, and lacks body fluids, her digestive ability will also decrease. If you eat eggs immediately after giving birth, they will be difficult to digest and will increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, semi-liquid or liquid food should be eaten within a few hours after delivery.

5. Drink vegetable soup after giving birth .

Many mothers drink whole soup to stimulate lactation immediately after giving birth, which leads to blockage of the mammary ducts, aggravated breast pain, and is not conducive to milk production. Postpartum tonic should be based on physical condition. Most mothers are not lacking in nutrition. It is best to drink some light vegetable soup first, and then drink full soup after 5 days. The following is an introduction to a vegetable soup - original vegetable soup, for reference by postpartum mothers.

Ingredients: soybean sprouts, broccoli, peppers (green, yellow, or red), purple cabbage, loofah, edamame, and zucchini. Choose 4 or more types each time.

Preparation: Put various vegetables into the pot, add appropriate amount of water, cook until they are soft, and then take the soup to drink.

Efficacy: Cook all kinds of vegetables, mainly roots, stems, flowers and fruits, without adding any seasoning. The soup has a fragrant taste and can be drunk as tea. Drinking it on the day after delivery (the day after cesarean section) has an excellent effect on producing milk.
