Limited synonym fluctuation rose root

The limited source is the root of the green plant Convallaria multiflora of the Rosaceae family.

Limited green plant shape fluctuating wild rose climbing shrub, branches with short, thick slightly curved prickles. There are 5-9 leaflets, sometimes 3 leaflets in the nearly capitulate inflorescence, 5-10cm long including the leaf stem; bracts are comb-toothed, mostly attached to the leaf stem; leaflets are obovate, oblong or ovate, 1.5-5cm long, 0.8-2.8cm wide, with acute or obtuse apex, nearly circular or wedge-shaped apex, serrated margins, glabrous above, pubescent below, and scattered glandular hairs on the leaf stem and axis. Flowers are bisexual; numerous, arranged in clusters in a pyramidal head inflorescence, with a flower diameter of 1.5-2cm; calyx 5, lanceolate, sometimes with 2 linear lobes in the middle; flowers 5, milky white, broadly obovate, slightly concave at the apex, wedge-shaped at the tip; pistil mostly; styles fused as a whole bundle. The fruit is nearly spherical, 6-8mm in diameter, light brown or purple-brown, and shiny. Flowering period is May-June. The fruiting period is September-October.

The role and efficacy of rose root

Clears away heat and dampness, dispels wind, promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis, and removes toxins. It is used to treat lung abscess, quench thirst, dysentery, arthritis, paralysis, vomiting, epistaxis, bloody stool, frequent and urgent urination, bed-wetting, irregular menstruation, bruises, sores, boils and scabies.

How to use and how much to use rose root

Oral administration: decoction, 1.5-4 qian. External application: mash and apply or decoct in water for gargling.

Rose root recipe

Gastroscopy for arthritis, upper body paralysis, irregular menstruation, urinary incontinence, secretions, oral erosion: 50 cents to 1 tael of wild rose root. Take it by soaking. (Commonly used Chinese herbal medicines in Shanghai)

Hair removal to treat enuresis in children, frequent urination in the elderly, and excessive menstruation in women: one or two ounces of fresh rose root. Stew lean pork.

Waist treatment for subconscious nosebleed: 2 liang of rose root bark. Stewed hen. Once a week, three weeks cycle.

Mango treats burns (not broken): equal amounts of barbed thorn roots and dove feathers. Wash the affected area with warm hands.

Apples are used to treat injuries caused by falls: one or two ounces of barbed thorn roots. Simmer water into juice and mix with wine to drink.
