Cervical cyst

Cervical cyst

Among the many chronic cervical diseases, cervical nabothian cyst is one of them. It is also called cervical glandular cyst in medicine. The disease needs timely treatment, otherwise it will easily cause the spread of inflammation and cause other uterine appendages to be invaded by inflammation. Therefore, if the cervical nabothian cyst develops to a certain extent, reasonable treatment measures must be taken to avoid the spread of inflammation.

However, even if you are diagnosed with cervical Nabothian cyst, you don’t need to worry too much. If it does not have any specific symptoms, it will not be treated clinically, that is, no treatment measures will be taken. But no matter what, it is important for female friends to understand the specific knowledge about cervical Nabothian cyst.

Causes of cervical cyst formation:

The reason for its formation is similar to that of "acne" on the face. During the healing process of cervical erosion, the new squamous epithelium covers the opening of the cervical gland duct or extends into the gland duct, blocking the opening of the gland duct; the connective tissue around the gland duct proliferates or scars form, compressing the gland duct, causing the gland duct to narrow or even block, and the drainage of glandular secretions is blocked. The cyst formed by retention is called cervical nabothian cyst.

Cervical cyst is the abbreviation of cervical nabothian cyst. Like cervical erosion and cervical polyps, it is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. Cervical cysts may also have clinical manifestations such as increased vaginal discharge. This article explains the causes, symptoms, and some knowledge about treatment of cervical cysts.

Clinical manifestations of cervical cysts:

During the examination, you can see multiple bluish-white vesicles of varying sizes (not purple) protruding from the surface of the cervix. They contain mucus. The small ones are as big as rice grains, and the large ones are as big as corn kernels. Some can grow very large, protruding from the surface of the cervix and even reaching the vaginal opening. The roots are connected to the cervix by a pedicle, and are often accompanied by cervical hypertrophy.

Cervical cyst treatment:

Since it is an inflammation, it is not serious, but it needs to be emphasized that chronic cervicitis is closely related to cervical cancer. Under long-term inflammatory stimulation, a small number of patients with chronic cervicitis have a tendency to malignant transformation, so it still requires high attention. The main thing is to have a cervical smear test every year to rule out cervical cancer and precancerous diseases.

1. Scattered, smaller cervical cysts generally do not require treatment, and annual checks are sufficient.

2. For densely packed smaller Nabothian cysts or relatively large cysts, physical treatments such as phototherapy, laser, microwave, and self-coagulation knife can be considered.

This article provides a detailed introduction to the causes, symptoms and treatment methods of cervical Nabothian cysts. We would like to remind all female friends that if the symptoms of cervical Nabothian cysts are severe, you should go to a regular hospital for treatment to avoid the occurrence of other complications. In order to avoid the occurrence of cervical Nabothian cysts, female friends should pay attention to the hygiene and cleanliness of private parts.
