1. Treatment principles

The general principles are "cultivate what is insufficient, and do not destroy what is in excess", and "strengthen the master of water to control the sun". Liuwei Dihuang Pills is its representative prescription. However, since the causes of the syndrome are different, their pathological changes have different emphases, so there are differences in their specific applications: First, for kidney yin deficiency and loss of body fluid, such as dry throat and thirst, dry tongue and chapped lips, polydipsia and constipation, use Asparagus cochinchinensis, Ophiopogon japonicus, Ligustrum lucidum and the like, which are so-called tonic and moistening; Second, for kidney yin deficiency and virtual fire ascending, such as restlessness and fever in the five hearts, hot flashes, night sweats, palpitations and insomnia, use Rehmannia glutinosa, Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, Tortoise Shell, Radix Rehmanniae Root and the like, which are so-called tonic and clearing; Third, for kidney essence deficiency and loss of yin and blood, such as soreness and weakness of waist and knees, spermatorrhea, deafness and dizziness, premature graying of hair and beard, and irregular menstruation, use Rehmannia glutinosa, Polygonum multiflorum, Lycium barbarum and Morus alba, which are so-called tonic and nourishing.

2. Basic prescriptions and medicines

3. Acupuncture

When Yin deficiency cannot control Yang, internal heat will be generated, so it is easy to experience fever in the five hearts and night sweats.
