Does antiperspirant work?

Does antiperspirant work?

In our lives, sweating is a very normal thing. Sometimes it is due to exercise, and sometimes it is due to mental stress. For some friends with more developed sweat glands, if there are some sweat glands in the armpits, it is easy to induce body odor. Therefore, many people with body odor use antiperspirant under their armpits every day. Of course, the effects of different brands are different. So, does antiperspirant work?

1. Affecting the body's normal metabolism: Antiperspirant products can be roughly divided into antiperspirants and antiperspirant powders, but the basic principle is to temporarily close pores through chemical ingredients to inhibit sweating. Sweating is a normal physiological function of the human body, and this forced antiperspirant method may often cause harm to the body. If you sweat very heavily, even like water, be careful of hyperhidrosis, which may be related to certain systemic diseases. You should go to the hospital for disease examination and treatment in time.

2. Skin problems such as allergies: The human body can help dissipate heat through the evaporation of sweat. At the same time, sweat nourishes and protects the skin. Don’t be too nervous about normal sweating, and don’t use antiperspirants frequently, otherwise it may cause allergies, redness and other skin problems.

3. Recurrence after discontinuation of use: Once the antiperspirant is discontinued, the sweat glands will continue to sweat in the hot season without being blocked from sweating. The body fluids will flow out of the body along with the sweat glands, and body odor will recur!

4. Excessive use and abuse will cause the skin to develop tolerance: Once an antiperspirant is used for too long, the skin will develop tolerance and will no longer absorb the product after reaching a certain level. If it continues to be used, the skin will develop a certain resistance over time and the absorption of any product will decrease. Frequent use of antiperspirants may cause allergies, redness and other skin problems.

It can be seen from this that antiperspirant cannot completely remove body odor, so what should we do if we have body odor?

It is reported that body odor is caused by the large gaps between the sweat gland cells, which leads to a large amount of lipids, proteins and other macromolecules being excreted from the body and reacting with bacteria outside the body. Therefore, if you want to completely remove body odor, you must prevent lipids and other macromolecules from reacting with bacteria.

The effective deodorizing molecules in the product can penetrate deep into the apocrine glands, returning the intercellular space to normal values, and eradicating body odor from the root. It is a must-have for patients with body odor!
