How to treat vulvar curvature

How to treat vulvar curvature

Penile curvature is a symptom caused by genetic factors. If such a problem exists, it will have a great impact on men, for example, it will affect men's sexual function and reproductive function. Therefore, if there is penile curvature, it must be treated in time. So far, the most effective treatment is surgery. Here we will introduce the surgical treatment of penile curvature.

1. Surgical method

The foreskin is pulled back and drugs that make the penis erect are injected or a sufficient amount of saline is infused to observe the erect and bent penis. The excess tunica cavernosa is then creased and the tension caused by tightening it with non-absorbable sutures is used to gradually correct the bending angle of the penis. In this way, several consecutive creases can completely straighten the entire penis. For most patients, their erect penis cannot lift their head and chest or be parallel to the ground before surgery. This is completely changed after surgery. The fully erect penis can exceed the parallel line of the ground and even reach the abdomen. This allows the patient to observe whether the correction is satisfactory on the operating table.

2. Surgical Effects

Correction of the crease of the penis curvature only requires local anesthesia, and does not cause any damage to the corpus cavernosum of the penis. After the operation, the patient will feel a strong pull and pain during erection in the first few days, and there will be no damage to any penis function. The whole operation process is similar to that of a general circumcision. After the operation, some patients will have mild hematoma or erection will last a little longer due to injection of drugs, but they will all return to normal.

3. Notes

Preoperative

1. Clean the area the night before and on the day of surgery.

2. Patients with concurrent phimosis and glans balanitis need to receive treatment in advance and undergo surgery after the inflammation subsides.

After surgery

1. Within three months after surgery, try to avoid walking, cycling, sexual stimulation and fantasies, etc., to avoid repeated erections of the penis that may affect wound healing;

2. Keep the perineum clean. Some patients may feel discomfort in the foreskin after surgery. Scratching should be prohibited. Clean the perineum after urination and defecation to prevent local contamination.

3. Do not hold urine to avoid affecting wound healing due to repeated erections of the penis;

4. You can take sedatives before going to bed within 2 to 3 months after the operation, and you can take some estrogen orally for a short period of time to avoid pain and bleeding caused by penile erection.
