Self-cervical traction

Self-cervical traction

Nowadays, people often suffer from worsening cervical spondylosis as they age. Many patients have to endure pain, and severe cases may become disabled due to cervical problems. Many people gradually lose the ability to take care of themselves due to cervical spondylosis at the beginning, and even have to use wheelchairs. Self-traction treatment for the cervical spine is very important, and you must learn the correct technique.

The incidence of cervical spondylosis increases exponentially with age. In mild cases, it causes pain to patients, while in severe cases, it can cause disability.

Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative disease.

Especially when working with the head down for a long time, the cervical spine is in a flexed position or certain specific positions for a long time, which not only increases the pressure in the cervical intervertebral disc, but also makes the neck muscles in an uncoordinated stress state for a long time. The muscles and ligaments in the back of the neck are easily stretched and strained, the front edges of the vertebrae wear and proliferate against each other, and excessive torsion and lateral flexion further lead to injuries, making cervical spondylosis more likely to occur. The incidence of cervical spondylosis increases exponentially with age. In mild cases, it causes pain to patients, while in severe cases, it can cause disability.

Self-traction therapy:

When you feel soreness in your neck or radiating pain in your shoulders, back, or upper limbs, you can self-twist your neck to improve the symptoms. The method is as follows:

Cross your fingers and place them on the pillow, tilt your head back, and gradually use your hands to pull towards the top of your head for about 10 seconds, repeat 3 to 5 times.
