What should I do if my waist is dislocated?

What should I do if my waist is dislocated?

General lumbar dislocation refers to the symptoms of lumbar vertebral slippage and small joint dislocation. Try not to compress the waist. If it is not too serious, it can be repositioned through some correct massage techniques. If it is serious, surgical treatment is required. Patients with or who have had lumbar injuries must not lift too heavy objects and pay more attention to rest.

1. General treatment

After lumbar dislocation, the patient should lie flat on a hard bed with an air cushion under the body. If lying on the side is necessary, a soft pillow should be placed between the legs to avoid pressure. Massage the compressed or protruding parts with alcohol to promote blood circulation; place a urinary catheter in the patient and strictly follow aseptic operation; perform urine tests and urine cultures regularly; if a urinary tract infection occurs, antibiotics are needed for treatment.

2. Symptomatic treatment

If the patient's vertebrae are severely compressed, suspension traction will be performed, and a soft pillow will be placed behind the waist. After three to five days, local anesthesia will be performed on the dislocated area, and then suspension reduction will be performed. After reduction, a plaster vest will be used for fixation for about 12 weeks. Open reduction and internal fixation surgery can also be used for treatment. If the patient has facet locking, open reduction and internal fixation surgery and bone graft fusion surgery should be performed.

3. Avoid excessive fatigue and overweight in normal times, and give yourself adequate rest. If you feel any discomfort, choose surgical treatment to relieve local discomfort.
