Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon for women every month and also represents the normal development of women. Women get used to menstruation once a month, which usually ends after three to seven days and then starts again in the same cycle. If some women experience a small amount of bleeding when going to the toilet in the morning and it is not during their menstrual period, they should promptly investigate the cause and pay attention to whether they have gynecological diseases, which should be treated as soon as possible. What is the cause of a small amount of bleeding when going to the toilet in the morning? If menstruation is excluded as a factor, it may be related to gynecological inflammation or dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. 2. Clinical manifestations of dysfunctional uterine bleeding 1. Irregular uterine bleeding, with the amount of blood varying from time to time, or increasing suddenly. For those who have had amenorrhea for a long time, the amount of bleeding is heavy and may last for several months. The cycle is shorter than 21 days, sometimes flowing and sometimes stopping. 2. Physical examination shows normal genitalia, or symmetrical and slightly enlarged ovaries on both sides. 3. The basal body temperature is monophasic. 4. Excessive blood loss can cause anemia. In severe cases, symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, edema, and loss of appetite may occur. 3. Causes of ovulatory functional uterine bleeding 1. Luteal insufficiency During the menstrual cycle, follicles develop and ovulate, but insufficient secretion of progesterone in the luteal phase or premature decline of the corpus luteum leads to poor endometrial secretion. 2. Incomplete shedding of the endometrium That is, due to incomplete atrophy of the corpus luteum, estrogen and progesterone cannot drop rapidly, and the endometrium sheds irregularly, which prolongs the bleeding period and increases the blood volume, also known as incomplete atrophy of the corpus luteum. 3. Prolonged endometrial repair After the endometrium is exfoliated during menstruation, the development of new follicles in the next cycle is slow or poor, and the secretion of estrogen is insufficient, so that the endometrium cannot regenerate and repair as expected, resulting in prolonged menstruation. 4. Ovulation bleeding Due to the temporary drop in hormones during ovulation, the endometrium loses hormonal support and some of the endometrium sheds, causing withdrawal bleeding. When estrogen is secreted in sufficient amounts, the endometrium is repaired and the bleeding stops. |
