How to inject human chorionic gonadotropin

How to inject human chorionic gonadotropin

Although people's living standards have improved, the environment has also been polluted to a certain extent. It is not difficult to find that fertility has become a big problem for more and more couples, and infertility is very common. It cannot be said that this is not related to environmental pollution, pesticide residues in food, and various hormones. When infertility occurs, human chorionic gonadotropin is often injected, but how is human chorionic gonadotropin injected? In many cases, we only know that women use it to promote ovulation, but in fact men also need it to promote spermatogenesis.

1. Usage and dosage of chorionic gonadotropin for injection

1. Adult dosage:

1) For male hypogonadism caused by insufficient gonadotropin function, 1000-4000 units are injected intramuscularly, 2-3 times a week, for several weeks to several months. Treatment may be continued for 6 months or longer to stimulate spermatogenesis.

5 million/ml, urogonadotropin should be used in combination for about 12 months.

2) Ovulation induction: for women with anovulatory infertility or in vitro fertilization, intramuscular injection once a day after the last dose of postmenopausal gonadotropin or 5-7 days after the last dose of clomiphene

5000-10000 units, continuous treatment for 3-6 cycles, if there is no effect, stop the drug.

3) Luteal insufficiency, during menstruation

15-17 days from the day of ovulation, inject once every other day

1500 units for 5 consecutive times, which can be adjusted according to the patient's response. After pregnancy, the original dose must be maintained until 7-10 weeks of gestation.

4) Dysfunctional uterine bleeding,

1000-3000 units intramuscularly. Habitual abortion, threatened abortion: 1000-5000 units, intramuscular injection.

2. Dosage for children:

1) Testicular function test in developmentally retarded patients: 2000 units are injected intramuscularly once a day for 3 consecutive days.

2) Prepubertal cryptorchidism, intramuscular injection

1000 - 5000 units, 2 - 3 times a week, discontinue use when favorable effects are seen. The total number of injections should not exceed 10.

2. Clinical Indications

1. Diagnosis and treatment of cryptorchidism before puberty.

2. For male infertility caused by hypopituitarism, it can be used in combination with urogonadotropin. Those with long-term hypogonadotropinemia should also be treated with testosterone.

3. For female anovulatory infertility caused by pituitary gonadotropin deficiency, this product is often used in combination with urinary gonadotropin to promote ovulation after clomiphene treatment fails.

4. Used for in vitro fertilization to obtain multiple oocytes, it needs to be used in combination with urinary gonadotropin.

5. Treatment of luteal insufficiency in women.

6. Functional uterine bleeding, threatened abortion in early pregnancy, and habitual abortion.
