What to use to treat inflammation in the nasopharyngeal mucosa

In general, it is common for people to suffer from inflammation and infection of the nose and throat. Especially due to the current air quality, there are many patients with rhinitis and pharyngitis. Moreover, rhinitis and pharyngitis are also difficult chronic diseases, which are difficult to cure and easy to relapse after being cured. Therefore, we can only rely on our own protection to alleviate and stabilize the condition. Generally, when the nasopharynx is inflamed, we take some erythromycin, metronidazole and other anti-inflammatory drugs, or directly infuse anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce inflammation.

1. Patients with nasopharyngitis can take roxithromycin capsules and metronidazole, etc. However, if there is no infection, you can take anti-allergic drugs such as tefilin. Patients can also try oral or nasal second-generation or new H1 antihistamines on their own, which can effectively relieve symptoms such as itchy nose, itchy ears, itchy throat, sneezing and runny nose. If the symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing are severe, you can rinse the nasal cavity with 0.9% isotonic saline solution and add medications such as gentamicin, dexamethasone or furosemide to achieve more obvious swelling and inflammation reduction effects.

2. For those without systemic symptoms or with mild symptoms, local application can be used: gargle with compound borax solution, various lozenges and Chinese patent medicines can be used as appropriate. Antiviral drugs can be used according to the cause of the disease. In addition to the above treatment, patients with severe systemic symptoms and high fever should rest in bed, drink plenty of water and eat liquid food, and take antiviral drugs.

The drug can be given intravenously, along with antibiotics or sulfonamides.

3. Patients can take lysozyme tablets, domifen throat tablets, iodine lozenges, etc. Gargle with compound borax solution, chlorhexidine mouthwash, or warm salt water. In the early stages of the disease, 1% iodine glycerin or 2% silver nitrate solution can be applied to the pharyngeal wall to help subside the inflammation. Nebulization or fumigation treatment, antiviral therapy can be used for viral infection

Medicine, bacterial infection, can be oral or injected antibiotics.

4. Patients can also use low-temperature plasma micro-invasive treatment for nasopharyngitis. The principle of low-temperature plasma ablation therapy is to form a highly concentrated area of ionized particles around the electrode through a conductive medium (salt). These particles can separate molecules and reduce tissue volume (the temperature of plasma low-temperature ablation therapy is between 40°C and 60°C). It does not directly destroy tissues and causes minimal damage to surrounding tissues. It takes a short time and has a rapid effect. It has relieved the disease troubles for many nasopharyngeal patients.

5. It is recommended to go to the Chinese medicine throat department to use Chinese medicine powders such as promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, removing rot and promoting new growth, reducing inflammation and relieving pain, removing phlegm and dispersing knots, calming the mind, soothing the liver and regulating qi, and dredging meridians, directly acting on the lesion site, combined with oral Chinese medicine, acupuncture and other comprehensive therapies, treating both the symptoms and the root cause, with good results and no toxic side effects.
