Venous malformation hemangioma

Venous malformation hemangioma

Venous malformation hemangioma is a relatively common tumor, many of which are congenital. Patients with venous malformation hemangioma will have obvious swelling of the skin and feel pain when pressed. In addition, many patients will also experience blood vessels being squeezed by the tumor. The treatment of venous malformation hemangioma is relatively complicated, and patients should ensure that they have adequate nutrition in their bodies. So, how should venous malformation hemangioma be treated?

1. What to eat for venous malformation hemangioma

When we accidentally suffer from venous malformation hemangioma, we should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid spicy foods, and we should eat more foods rich in vitamins. Parents should spend more time taking care of their children, especially sick children, and should not be busy with work. After all, children are the most precious existence.

2. What is childhood hemangioma?

It is a benign tumor, an abnormal proliferation of the vascular endothelium. It is not obvious at birth, but grows rapidly and then slowly regresses, basically regressing 10% at 1 year old. This 10% does not refer to the area of the hemangioma, but the incidence rate. For example, by the age of 4, 40% of the children's hemangiomas will disappear, and by the age of 5, 50% of the children's hemangiomas will disappear. If it hasn't gone away by the age of 10, it won't go away. In some children, the tumor will grow larger when they are 4 or 5 years old.

3. What to do if infantile hemangioma

Those tumors that occur due to vascular tissue are called hemangiomas. We should know that most of these hemangiomas are congenital, not acquired. Hemangiomas are benign, grow relatively slowly, and rarely become malignant. Current treatments include shell resection, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, cryotherapy, laser therapy, sclerotherapy, and sclerotherapy injection. Most hospitals now use comprehensive treatments. Because of this, hemangiomas in infants and young children should be observed, and if they develop rapidly, certain intervention treatments should be given in a timely manner.

4. How to differentiate hemangioma from hemorrhagic nodules

The former has a typical appearance and the characteristics of disappearing or becoming lighter in color when pressed with fingers. Needle aspiration can be used when necessary. Fresh blood can be drawn from hemangiomas, while blood drawn from hemorrhagic nodules is old blood, which may be mixed with other components. Second, hemangiomas should be differentiated from arteriovenous malformations. Venous malformations are visible at birth, usually grow slowly, and will not disappear on their own. The surface is mostly bluish-purple, while arterial malformations often have obvious vascular pulsations felt at the tumor site, so they can be distinguished from each other. It can be differentiated through color ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and angiography.
