Why does the fetus have no heartbeat?

Strange things often happen when women are pregnant. For example, some women may find that they are already pregnant during the examination. However, when the baby is about fifty days pregnant, it will be discovered during the prenatal check-up that the fetus has no heartbeat. This is an unhealthy situation, so it needs everyone's attention. There are many reasons why the fetus has no fetal heartbeat, but pregnant women should pay special attention to their behavioral habits. Why does the fetus have no fetal heartbeat? Why does the fetus have no fetal heartbeat?

What's going on when there's no fetal heartbeat?

If you can't hear the fetal heartbeat, does it mean that the fetus is not developing well? The fetal heartbeat usually appears around 7 weeks of pregnancy. If you find that there is no fetal heartbeat in the early pregnancy, you should calm down, go to another hospital, or wait another week or two before going for a check-up. If there is still no fetal heartbeat, it may be embryonic arrest. There are many reasons that may lead to fetal growth retardation, including exposure to toxic substances, radiation or large amounts of electromagnetic radiation, taking medications that affect fetal development, smoking or alcoholism, etc. It is recommended to find out the cause and then treat it symptomatically.

The sudden absence of fetal heartbeat in the middle and late stages of pregnancy may be caused by fetal hypoxia, such as umbilical cord lesions: umbilical cord torsion, umbilical cord prolapse, etc.; fetal factors: malformations, intrauterine growth retardation, infection, multiple births, etc.; maternal lesions: post-term pregnancy, pregnancy-induced hypertension, cardiovascular disease, toxic shock, etc.; placental factors: placental abruption, placenta previa, etc. The above reasons will lead to insufficient oxygen supply to the placenta, causing the fetus to die from lack of oxygen. It is recommended that pregnant women go to the hospital for examination and receive appropriate treatment immediately once they find the disease.

The reason for the absence of fetal heart rate is that the fetal heart rate is absent. There are many reasons for the fetal arrest, including genetic factors, infection, exposure to radioactive substances, toxic chemicals, taking drugs that are contraindicated during pregnancy, high temperature, excessive stimulation, etc. In most cases, early embryonic development arrest or miscarriage may be due to problems with the chromosomes themselves.

No fetal heart rate symptoms

There are generally no obvious symptoms when there is no fetal heartbeat. There may also be some symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, disappearance of pregnancy reactions, and a drop in body temperature, but they are generally difficult to detect. You can do a B-ultrasound to check the embryo and fetal heart rate, and then determine whether there is still a chance to preserve the pregnancy after the B-ultrasound examination.

What to do if there is no fetal heartbeat

Generally, the fetal heartbeat can be seen from the B-ultrasound after 7 weeks of pregnancy. If the B-ultrasound examination finds no fetal heartbeat after 8 weeks of pregnancy, the expectant mother does not need to be too nervous and can continue to observe. If there is still no fetal heartbeat after another one or two weeks, it is considered that the fetus is not developing well. It is not a reaction to miscarriage, but it cannot grow into a healthy baby, so abortion is the only choice. If there is no physiological problem, it will not affect pregnancy again.

If there is no fetal heartbeat during the first pregnancy, before trying to get pregnant again, in addition to checking antibodies on both parties to rule out immune factors, bacterial culture should be performed to rule out infection factors if necessary; and chromosome examination of both parties should be performed to rule out genetic and chromosomal causes if necessary. After getting pregnant again, you will need to carry out systematic fetal preservation.
