Thyroid B-ultrasound diagnosis

Thyroid B-ultrasound diagnosis

B-ultrasound mainly uses the principle of ultrasound to examine the inside of the human body, so it is also a detection technology widely used in medicine. In most people's minds, they believe that B-ultrasound can only be used to detect a woman's pregnancy status. In fact, B-ultrasound can also assist in the diagnosis of some other diseases. If you suffer from thyroid cyst disease, how should you use B-ultrasound to diagnose it?

Ultrasound examination is a very important medical examination. Most diseases in clinical medicine require auxiliary diagnosis through ultrasound examination. Thyroid ultrasound can provide an approximate reflection of the status of the thyroid gland. Thyroid ultrasound can accurately detect the size and volume of the thyroid gland, as well as the blood flow status in the thyroid gland. Through these indicators of thyroid ultrasound, doctors can make a qualitative or semi-qualitative diagnosis of whether the thyroid tumor is benign or malignant.

For relatively mild thyroid lesions, a thyroid ultrasound examination is sufficient to diagnose whether the lesion is benign or malignant. However, if the lesion is more complex and severe, a thyroid puncture biopsy may be required to confirm the diagnosis. Currently in clinical medicine, thyroid ultrasound examination is the preferred method for examining thyroid diseases.

Using color Doppler ultrasound to examine the thyroid gland can accurately reflect the blood flow distribution and dynamics in the thyroid gland. Thyroid ultrasound examination with ultrasound angiography and volumetric imaging can also produce thyroid blood flow imaging and three-dimensional volumetric imaging. Through elastic imaging technology, the tissue texture of the thyroid gland can be examined qualitatively and quantitatively.

The above article has explained what thyroid ultrasound can detect. The operation method of thyroid ultrasound examination is very simple, and patients usually do not need to make any special preparations for the examination. However, during the examination, it is best for patients not to wear high-necked tops, and any metal necklaces they wear should be untied before the examination.
