Scrotal leukoplakia and itching

If there are white spots on the scrotum and there is an itchy feeling, this is actually scrotal eczema, which is a relatively common skin disease. There are abnormalities in the scrotum, but many male friends delay treatment due to face issues, which is not right.

What is scrotal eczema

Eczema is a common skin disease, which is clinically accompanied by itching of varying degrees, various forms of skin lesions, and recurrent attacks. It can occur at any age, in any part of the body, and in any season, but often recurs or worsens after winter. The incidence of eczema has been on the rise in recent years, which may be related to climate and environmental changes, the use of large amounts of chemical products in life, mental stress, accelerated pace of life, and changes in dietary structure. Depending on the symptoms of the eczema site, it can be divided into scrotal eczema, breast eczema, anal eczema, etc. Scrotal eczema is the most common type of eczema, which is limited to the skin of the scrotum, sometimes extending to the area around the anus, and rarely to the penis. The patient will experience severe itching, the rash will be polymorphic and prone to relapse, but it can be treated. To achieve the goal of a cure, the individual needs to pay attention to hygiene, choose good medications, persist in treatment, and avoid infection.

The causes of scrotal eczema are more complicated and can be divided into internal and external factors.

1. Internal factors. People with allergic constitution, those who are under long-term mental tension and those who are emotionally unstable are prone to this disease; in addition, people with certain diseases, such as chronic digestive system diseases and endocrine disorders, are also prone to this disease under the influence of external factors.

2. External factors. The underwear is uncomfortable or not loose enough; some drugs may cause eczematous drug eruption.

How to treat scrotal eczema

Scrotal eczema should be treated based on syndrome differentiation. Both Chinese and Western medicine can be used for treatment, and special attention should be paid to daily care.

1. Acute scrotal eczema is caused by the evil of dampness and heat flowing down the meridians to the genitals. Treatment should focus on clearing away heat and removing dampness. The commonly used prescription is Longdan Xiegan Decoction with modifications, which includes: Gentiana 10g, Scutellaria 10g, Bupleurum 10g, Red Peony 10g, Gardenia 10g, Sophora flavescens 10g, Alisma orientalis 10g, Akebia 10g, Kochia scoparia 20g, and Raw Licorice 6g. Take it in decoction, 1 dose per day.

2. Chronic scrotal eczema is caused by the dampness and heat that damage the yin fluid over a long period of time, leading to yin deficiency and blood dryness. The treatment should be to nourish yin, nourish blood and moisten dryness. The commonly used prescription is Danggui Yinzi plus or minus: Danggui 10g, Rehmannia glutinosa 20g, White Peony 10g, Chuanxiong 10g, Scrophularia 10g, Schizonepeta 10g, Saposhnikovia 10g, Dictamni 30g, Tribulus terrestris 10g, Raw Licorice 6g. Take it in decoction, 1 dose per day.

3. Fumigation method. Use 750 grams of raw mountain osmanthus, 60 grams of honeysuckle, 60 grams of dandelion, 60 grams of pulex, 20 grams of phellodendron, 6 grams of gallnut, 3 grams of white gentian, 20 grams of cnidium monnieri, 20 grams of Xanthium sibiricum, 5 grams of Sichuan pepper, 15 grams of eriophorum, and 20 grams of schizonepeta, decoct in water, fumigate and wash the patient 2-3 times a day, and continue fumigating and washing until the disease is cured.

4. 30 grams of Phellodendron chinense, 30 grams of Smilax glabra, 25 grams of Sophora flavescens, 20 grams of Glechoma longituba, 20 grams of Dictamni bark, 30 grams of Stemona bulb, and 20 grams of Melia azedarach. Add 100 ml of 75% alcohol to 500 ml of cold boiled water, place in a sand pot and soak in a sealed container for 7 days. Then filter the juice and put it into a sealed bottle for later use. Apply a small amount to the vulva 1 to 2 times a day for 3 to 7 days to prevent scrotal eczema and treat mild scrotal eczema. For those who have already formed ulcers, dilute the above-mentioned medicine with cold boiled water in a ratio of 10:1 and then apply it 3 to 4 times a day for 7 to 10 days.
