There is a hole between two teeth

We often say that service staff have an eight-tooth smile. You know, if you want to really smile with eight teeth, you not only need to exercise your facial muscles, but also pay great attention to the health of your teeth. Otherwise, even if we show eight teeth, our smile will not give people a good impression. Teeth are prone to many problems. What should we do if there is a hole between two teeth?

If the tooth is slightly damaged and the dental nerve is not infected or inflamed, you can usually remove the decay and then directly fill the tooth.

If the defect is relatively large, we first need to take an X-ray to confirm whether the dental nerve is inflamed or necrotic. If so, root canal treatment may be required. If you already have cavities, it is recommended not to delay treatment to avoid the spread of cavities. It would be a pity to expand the area of cavities or even get infected and inflamed and require treatment. It is recommended that you seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Inflammation is a common pathological process in clinical practice and can occur in tissues and organs in various parts of the body, such as folliculitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia, hepatitis, nephritis, etc. Acute inflammation usually presents with changes such as redness, swelling, heat, pain, and hidden functions, and is often accompanied by systemic reactions such as fever and leukocytosis. The occurrence of these changes essentially reflects the body's overall struggle against inflammatory factors. This bifurcation struggle continues throughout the inflammatory process. After the inflammatory factors act on the body, on the one hand, they cause the damage of assembled cells, causing some assembled cells to degenerate and necrotize; on the other hand, they stimulate the increase of the body's disease resistance function to help eliminate the inflammatory factors and successfully treat the damaged cells, so that after the body suffers damage, the body's internal environment and the internal and external environments can reach a new balance. Generally speaking, inflammation is the body's anti-disease response and is beneficial to the body. For example, inflammatory congestion can enable surface tissues to obtain more oxygen, nutrients and protective substances; the metabolism and resistance of surface tissues increase; exudate can dilute toxins, and the antibodies contained in it can sweep away pathogens and neutralize toxins; the exuded fibrinogen coagulates to form a pseudomembrane, forming a shield that can bury pathogens and spread deeper; neutrophils and macrophages in the exudate can phagocytize bacteria and eliminate necrotic and collapsed cell debris; plasma cells and lymphocytes in the inflamed area can produce antibodies to neutralize toxins; and tissue hyperplasia can repair the defects caused by the inflamed area.

However, we need to look at inflammation in two ways. Under certain conditions, certain beneficial factors in the inflammatory response can be transformed in the opposite direction and become harmful factors to the body. For example, excessive exudate often causes the function of related organs to be concealed. For example, pleural effusion can compress the lungs and cause dyspnea; pericardial effusion affects heart beat. Similarly, although connective tissue hyperplasia and sclerosis in the late stage of inflammation are beneficial to tissue management, they often form adhesions or sclerosis of the parenchyma organs, seriously affecting the function of the organ.

Dental filling is the method of repairing tooth defects with artificial materials. The material used for repair is called filling material. Any tooth tissue defect caused by caries, wedge-shaped defects, trauma, etc. needs to be repaired to restore its appearance and function. When the lesion has spread to the dental pulp and even caused periapical disease, the dental pulp should be treated first and then the tooth should be filled.
