Parafrenulum papules

Rash is a common skin disease. Especially allergic skin is prone to rashes. Parafrenulum papules are an uncommon rash and should be treated promptly with medication if they occur. Parafrenulum papules are rashes that are confined to one area and will not affect the normal functioning of other body functions and will not cause any uncomfortable symptoms. If the case is serious, you need to go to the hospital for treatment, but if the case is not serious, it may heal on its own.

Disease Introduction

Parafrenulum papular fibroma is limited to the skin beside the frenulum, often with bilateral symmetrical eruptions, which may be a physiological autovariation or atavism phenomenon. Generally there is no discomfort, other obstacles or long-term harm. It can be distinguished from genital warts and has nothing to do with sexually transmitted diseases.

Histopathology

Histopathology is similar to fibroids and is nonspecific. The changes are thickening of the stratum corneum without incomplete keratosis and dyskeratosis. The granular layer is slightly hyperplastic, the cells are enlarged, and the granules are obvious. The acanthosis layer is thickened, the epithelial legs are elongated, often in an embracing shape, the number of spinous cells increases, and the nuclei are darkly stained: there is mild edema between a few cells. The nuclei of some spinous cells are atrophied, and even a few are "shadow-like", but there are no vacuolated cells and inclusion bodies seen in condyloma acuminatum. The basal layer is intact. Capillary dilation and proliferation can be seen in the dermis.

Clinical manifestations

It is more common in young and middle-aged sexually active men. It is limited to the skin around the frenulum of the penis, often with bilateral symmetrical rash, and occasionally occurs on one side. The rash initially appears as small, skin-colored or yellow-white, translucent, shiny papules the size of millet or sorghum grains. Larger rashes may be tiny nipple-like, and occasionally finger-shaped. There are not many rashes, usually 1-4 on each side, but there may be multiple rashes, clustered in the pits next to the frenulum rather than arranged along the posterior edge of the glans. The papules are isolated from each other and do not fuse together. The texture of the fused papules is medium and feels full. The surface is smooth, they do not fuse with each other, they will not increase in size, there are no subjective symptoms, and the acetic acid white test is negative. 3. Diagnosis can be made based on clinical characteristics. Pathological histology and auxiliary diagnosis are also helpful, but other diseases should be excluded.

Treatment

Generally no treatment is required and spontaneous recovery may occur.
