Why does the baby's head always sweat?

Since babies do not have the ability to move on their own, their daily life depends on the care of their mothers. When taking care of their babies, mothers will carefully observe the symptoms of their babies' bodies, and when they find the slightest symptom, they will be very worried. Sweating is a phenomenon that everyone has experienced, but why does the baby's head always sweat?

Many mothers have found that their babies often have a lot of sweat on their heads after falling asleep, and they think that their children are experiencing a pathological phenomenon. Actually, it is not. The biological explanation for this phenomenon is called physiological hyperhidrosis, which probably means that it is a normal physiological effect caused by external factors, such as parents dressing their children too many clothes and overheated environment, and there is no need to worry too much about it.

Although babies in their infancy cannot do outdoor sports, they are not obedient in bed and often dance. When they exercise too much during the day and accumulate a lot of heat in the body, the sweat will be discharged within half an hour after the baby falls asleep. But parents don’t need to worry, because this phenomenon will ease by itself after an hour. If it cannot be relieved, it is a pathological phenomenon, otherwise there is no need to worry.

The phenomenon of physiological hyperhidrosis often occurs in babies with healthy constitutions. They will discharge heat from the baby's head through metabolism in the body. So if you find that your baby often sweats within half an hour of falling asleep, it only means that your baby's constitution is very healthy. In addition, when babies eat foods that may cause them to produce high calories before going to bed, such as chocolate and drinking milk, it can also cause them to sweat at night.

However, if you find that your baby has the following symptoms, you must be careful that his sweating is pathological hyperhidrosis. First of all, in the current summer, we often consume excessive calories due to the hot weather, and babies are in the period of the most active metabolism. They consume more calories than us, so they often suffer from hypoglycemia. If the baby continues to sweat a lot while sleeping and feels listless when he wakes up the next morning, it is most likely due to hypoglycemia. The mother must replenish his energy in time. When babies under one year old sweat excessively, you need to slowly consider whether it is because the baby is too little exposed to the sun and is nutritionally deficient due to a lack of substances such as cod liver oil and calcium powder. Especially when you find that the baby starts to lose hair and his anterior fontanelle closes too late, you must be wary of whether the baby has rickets. At this time, you should take the baby to a regular large hospital for treatment in time. There are many pathological phenomena that can cause babies to sweat at night, such as some endocrine diseases or active tuberculosis in children.

When the mother finds that the baby has excessive sweating, he must be closely observed. If it is physiological excessive sweating, it is necessary to reduce the factors that cause his sweating in time so as to get effective relief. If many pathological manifestations are found, it is necessary to see a doctor as soon as possible to avoid delaying the child's health.
