Does the disappearance of the follicle mean ovulation?

Although every woman is born with ovaries and follicles, it takes a process to have a normal pregnancy. Only after the follicles mature can a normal pregnancy be achieved. But does the disappearance of the follicle mean ovulation? When the follicle grows to a certain period, it will become larger. When the egg matures, the follicle will rupture. If it meets sperm at this time, it will be easy to get pregnant. However, the disappearance of follicles does not mean ovulation, it may also be developmental abnormalities.

Sometimes, if pregnancy occurs but no follicles are detected, it may be because the follicles are not mature or have ruptured and are not detected at the time. If you have sex at this time, you may happen to encounter ovulation and become pregnant. If the follicles behave abnormally, you should go to the hospital for a diagnosis, because if the follicles are underdeveloped, it may affect your fertility.

Some women's ovarian follicles are underdeveloped, which means they cannot ovulate normally or the quality of the ovulated eggs is poor. Even if they become pregnant, they may suffer miscarriage or stillbirth. Therefore, the quality of the ovarian follicles is very important. The reasons for poor egg quality may be due to polycystic ovary syndrome, gonadal dysgenesis, premature ovarian failure and other conditions. You need to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.

There are also some classifications of follicles, mainly primordial follicles, growing follicles, mature follicles, and atretic follicles. This primordial follicle is naturally present in all women, and it will slowly turn into a growing follicle, which is further divided into primary growing follicles and secondary growing follicles. If you want to have a baby, the follicles must reach a mature stage so that ovulation and fertilization can occur.

Monitoring the follicle does not mean pregnancy. The follicle only serves the function of ovulation. As long as the follicle develops healthily, the process of conception is basically normal. The follicles can also be monitored during menstruation. If no follicles are detected, generally speaking, pregnancy will not occur after intercourse. However, there is also a situation where the follicles rupture or are immature, which cannot be detected and may cause pregnancy. In the case of abnormal follicles, you need to go to the hospital for corresponding examinations.
