Dystonia Surgery

Dystonia surgery is performed to treat early-stage muscle tone obstruction, mainly to relieve blood viscosity and promote joint movement. It is recommended that patients should actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment to prevent symptoms of hemiplegia. For dystonia surgery, the use of botulinum toxin can only provide temporary relief, but recurrence is very likely to occur, and deep brain shock therapy should be performed.

It is important to diagnose and treat dystonia early. Therefore, this type of patient not only needs to undergo blood electrolyte tests, but also drug tests, and some trace element and biochemical tests are also required. Each patient with dystonia has a different physical condition and different condition, so even if patients with dystonia receive the same treatment, the effect will not be the same. Dystonia requires active treatment.

1. Botulinum toxin can only provide temporary relief and symptoms will generally recur after 3-6 months. For dystonia, the best surgical treatment is still to use a brain pacemaker. First, observe the effect through external testing, and then arrange for implantation after the effect is stable.

2. If the patient is not satisfied, deep brain stimulation therapy can be used. This treatment method can usually control the symptoms. Dystonia can be actively treated. It is also recommended that patients with dystonia do not believe in folk remedies or quack doctors.

3. Patients with dystonia must be mentally prepared, and it will endanger the normal range of motion of the affected limbs, affect the range of motion, and affect the speed and hardness of the muscles. Moreover, patients with dystonia need active diagnosis and active dietary adjustment.

Note:

Dystonia is very harmful and has both psychological and physical effects on patients. Patients with dystonia need active treatment and should not leave it untreated, otherwise their condition will become more and more serious.
