Are mosquito coils poisonous?

After Chinese herbal medicine and pyrethrum mosquito coils are lit, the smoke is not thick, and people can smell a natural fragrance without any pungent or dizzy feeling; however, DDT mosquito coils have a smell of mothballs during the process of opening the package and burning, which makes people feel dizzy after smelling it for a long time.

3. Identify by the burning point: Use a match to light a mosquito coil. Pure pyrethrum mosquito coils have only yellow flames and bluish-white smoke, while poisonous mosquito coils have green flames and emit black smoke.

4. Identify from the mosquito coil ash: The ash of pyrethrum mosquito coils after burning is white or gray; while the ash of poisonous mosquito coils is black.

5. From the perspective of insecticide effect, pyrethrum mosquito coils have obvious toxic effects on mosquitoes, and it is difficult to see mosquitoes flying around after they are lit; while mosquitoes fly around when poisonous mosquito coils are lit, and the efficacy is not as good as pyrethrum mosquito coils.

Many citizens believe that electric mosquito coils are much less toxic to the human body than traditional mosquito coils. According to relevant experts, in fact, the principles of electric mosquito coils and traditional disc mosquito coils are the same, and they use the same raw materials. The effective ingredients of disc, liquid, and electric mosquito coils are all chemical preparations with insecticidal properties. The only difference is that their carriers are different. Therefore, the statement that "smokeless mosquito coils are less harmful than smoked mosquito coils, and electric mosquito coils are less harmful than disc mosquito coils" is unscientific. However, some fake and inferior mosquito coils contain 666 powder, realgar powder, etc., which can cause chronic poisoning in people.
