Molluscum contagiosum symptoms

Molluscum contagiosum symptoms

We all like to go swimming in public baths, especially female friends. We feel that it is so intoxicating to show off our charming figures and proud postures in such an atmosphere and such a place. As for men, of course they go to admire the beautiful women. In fact, it is such public places that are most susceptible to diseases.

Molluscum contagiosum virus is a DNA virus in the poxvirus family. It is mainly transmitted through direct contact. Patients are often infected in public bathrooms or swimming pools. It can also be self-inoculated or transmitted through sexual contact. It is a contagious skin disease. The following are the symptoms of molluscum contagiosum, especially the early symptoms of molluscum contagiosum. What are the manifestations of molluscum contagiosum?

Clinical manifestations:

The incubation period ranges from 1 week to 6 months. Typical lesions are papules formed by proliferation of infected local epidermal cells, with a diameter of 2 to 8 mm, single or multiple, round or hemispherical, waxy luster, umbilical concave center, and containing cheesy emboli. The papules are flesh-colored or pink. The texture is hard at first, but becomes soft when mature and can be squeezed out into a cheese-like substance. Clinically, it can be divided into two types:

①Childhood type: Infection is caused by direct skin contact or transmissible vectors. Molluscum warts are seen on the face, trunk and limbs.

② Adult type: It can be sexually transmitted. Molluscum warts are more common on the external genitalia, buttocks, lower abdomen, pubic area and inner thigh area. It occurs in the anus during anal sex. Lynch reported 55 such cases in service members returning to the United States from Vietnam and North Korea who had a history of soliciting prostitution in those countries.

Skin lesions can occur on any contact site except the palms and soles, and may also appear on the lips, tongue, buccal mucosa, conjunctiva, etc. Conjunctival lesions may be accompanied by reactive conjunctivitis or keratitis. A few lesions are extremely large, called giant molluscum, and some may keratinize and resemble small horns, called keratotic molluscum. Generally no symptoms.

The disease is self-limited and generally lasts for months to years.

After my introduction, do you never want to go to public swimming pools again? In fact, as long as you choose a formal swimming and bathing place with good hygiene conditions, you will not have the chance of contracting this disease. So I still remind the general public to cherish themselves and pay attention to their health.
