Polyneuritis

Polyneuritis

Any disease will cause some damage to human health. Common diseases in life are colds, fevers, coughs, and headaches. These diseases seem simple, but they all reflect physical discomfort. Therefore, if these situations occur, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid further development. This is also a good protection for your own health. Polyneuritis is a disease that is very harmful to human health.

Once this type of disease is discovered, it must be treated in a timely manner, otherwise it will cause serious damage to the patient's body in all aspects. Therefore, for the treatment of polyneuritis, it is also necessary to have a good understanding of it, especially the symptoms, which require a multi-faceted understanding.

Symptoms of polyneuritis:

The common feature of this disease is symmetrical sensory, motor and autonomic nerve disorders in the distal limbs.

(1) Various sensory losses are distributed in a glove-and-stocking shape and may be accompanied by irritation symptoms such as paresthesia, hyperesthesia and pain. Pain is a prominent feature of small fiber damaged neuropathy (such as diabetic alcoholism, porphyria, etc.), as well as AIDS, hereditary sensory neuropathy, paraneoplastic sensory neuropathy, entrapment neuropathy, and idiopathic brachial plexus neuropathy. Dissociated sensory loss can be seen in hereditary sensory neuropathy and amyloid neuropathy.

(2) Distal lower motor neuron palsy: severe cases are accompanied by muscle atrophy and fasciculations, weakened or absent tendon reflexes in the limbs, obvious ankle reflexes, inability to perform fine tasks, and more severe distally than proximally. There is obvious atrophy of the tibialis anterior and peroneus muscles of the lower limbs, interosseous muscles, lumbrical muscles and thenar muscles of the upper limbs, hand and foot drop and straddle gait, and deformities due to late muscle contracture.

(3) Autonomic nervous system disorders: postural hypotension, cold limbs, excessive or no sweating, brittle nails, thin, dry or scaly skin, piloerection disorder, afferent neuropathy leading to atonic bladder, impotence and diarrhea, etc.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the symptoms of multiple neuritis. After the onset of this disease, the body will have obvious feelings, so at this time, people should also pay attention to their own physical condition. When such a disease occurs, not only should drug treatment be chosen, but psychological treatment for patients is also very critical.
