Clinical studies have shown that this is related to physiological factors unique to women - 63% of women's headaches are closely related to menstruation. In addition to menstruation, women may also suffer from headaches at other times. Clinically, headaches that occur before, during, and after menstruation are called menstrual headaches.

After menstruation, the serum estradiol concentration returns to normal and the patient's headache may be relieved or disappear.

However, menstrual headaches, which are common in clinical practice, are closely related to endocrine disorders. In real life, women will inevitably encounter some unpleasant things or some difficult problems at work. In addition, the intense life and work pressure in modern cities put the brain nerves in a state of tension. Mental fatigue, lack of exercise, lack of sleep, and some women even go without eating for a long time to lose weight. These bad living habits may lead to endocrine disorders and then cause premenstrual syndrome.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, menstrual headaches can be called menstrual headaches. It is caused by long-term bad living habits or emotional instability, which will lead to long-term accumulation of toxins in the body. Toxins enter the blood vessels, causing vasodilation, thus causing headaches.

In daily life, some foods can cause migraines in people with weaker immunity. Some foods can even cause changes in the blood vessels or nerves in migraine sufferers. Experts have provided us with information in this regard, mainly as follows:

Dairy products: including skim or whole milk, goat milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.;

Chocolate: Chocolate is not only fattening, it also contains tyrosine, which is the main suspect in causing migraines;

Meat: including beef, pork, fish and turkey;

Fruits: including citrus fruits, apples, bananas;

Wheat: including refined bread and pasta;

Beverages: Certain beverages and additives may also cause menstrual migraines, including alcoholic beverages such as various high-concentration white wines and red wines; caffeinated beverages such as coffee, cola and tea. If you drink a lot of caffeinated beverages every day, your blood vessels will dilate, which can easily cause menstrual migraines.
