Treatment of frostbite

Treatment of frostbite

In winter, the weather is relatively cold and many friends will get frostbite, especially in the north. Although frostbite is not a serious disease, the chilblains left behind are very itchy and the itching is unbearable. The red and swollen appearance is not very good-looking and makes people feel distressed, especially children who like to play outside in winter. If they accidentally get frostbite on their hands, parents will feel very distressed when seeing this.

Winter is much better now than it was when it was younger, and it doesn’t feel that cold anymore. However, you can still get frostbite if you are not careful. Some friends can even get frostbite on their faces, which is extremely uncomfortable and affects their appearance. So, are there any effective ways to treat frostbite that can protect friends who suffer from frostbite from the trouble of frostbite? Here are some simple methods that I hope will be helpful to you.

Methods/Steps

1 When your hands are frostbitten or have frostbite, you can also use hot salt water to deal with it. That is, boil the water, pour it into a basin, then add an appropriate amount of salt. When the water is a little cooler but not hot, soak the frozen and frostbitten parts in it. It is best to massage the frostbitten area to allow the blood to flow smoothly. You can soak for ten to fifteen minutes every day. After a week, it will have a very good effect.

2 When your hands are frostbitten or have frostbite, you can also use banana pulp to rub the frostbitten area. The specific method is to first clean the frostbitten area with hot water, then take a fresh banana, peel it, and start using the banana flesh to rub the frozen part of your hands. Note that after rubbing the whole banana, let the banana flesh peel off automatically, and do not wash off the residue left on your hands, just let it remain naturally. Just wait for it to dry naturally and then fall off. Do this twice a day and the frostbite will be healed after a few days.

3 When your hands are frostbitten and have frostbite, you can also treat frostbite by soaking them in chili water or using water boiled from washed chili branches. To make chili water, put chopped chilies into clean water, boil it, then pour it into a basin and put your hands without wounds in to scrub them. The principle of boiling chili branch water is the same as that of boiling eggplant branch water. Add several chili branches to water and bring it to a boil. Pour it into a basin. When it is no longer hot, reach in, grab the chili branches, and rub the chilblains to achieve a healing effect.

4 When your hands are frostbitten or have frostbite, the best folk remedy is to wash your hands with water boiled with holly. When I was a child, my mother lived in the countryside and would often wash our hands with holly water to prevent frostbite. If our hands did get frostbite, we could also wash our hands directly with water boiled with holly, which was very effective. Just cut a few holly branches, pay attention to the leaves and branches together, then put them in a pot, pour in clean water, boil it, pour it into a basin, wait for it to cool down a little, put your hand in, and that's it.

5 When your hands are frostbitten or have frostbite, washing your hands with water boiled in eggplant branches will also have a very good effect. For rural children, the eggplant branches in the yard will not be cut off and will be left to grow there. When the child's hands are frozen and get frostbite, the parents will break them off and boil water to treat the child's frostbitten hands. Break it into small pieces, then pour in clean water and boil it. Pour it into a basin. When it cools down a little, put your hand in it, grab the eggplant tree, and rub the frozen area with the eggplant branches. It is better to see red. It will have a very good effect.

6 When your body temperature rises and you no longer feel particularly cold, remember to find a piece of soft cotton cloth, soak it in warm water, and rub the frostbitten area from time to time. This is done to speed up blood flow to the frostbitten area, thereby alleviating the discomfort and pain in that area and effectively relieving frostbite.

7 When you find that you or someone around you is frostbitten, leave the cold place immediately and go to a warmer place. At this time, quickly take off your wet clothes and shoes and socks, and then continue to stay in the warm room and wait for your body to relieve itself from the freezing condition. Remember, if you have frostbite, especially on your hands, do not warm yourself by a fire, because this will cause the hand tissues to heat up too quickly and cause them to rot. Frostbite is usually treated with external treatment.

8 If you feel that the effect is not obvious enough, or the time is too long, you can also choose to fry egg skins into soup and use it to scrub the frostbitten area. Beat a few eggs, using only the egg shells, then put them in water and fry them into soup. After the temperature drops to a suitable level for you, put the frostbitten area into the water and rub it repeatedly. In this way, when you feel the wetness in the frostbitten area or the stiffness disappears, it's done.

Have you all learned how to treat frostbite? If you also have frostbite, you might as well try it. Frostbite sometimes recurs, and severe cases may occur every year, so if you have frostbite, you must treat it carefully to avoid suffering from it again.
